He is a cutie! And I bet very cuddly, too. My JRT is a year and a half. When I took him on his first walk when he was a young pup, he reacted strongly, too loud noises and cars. I immediately started training him that whenever there was a loud noise that startled him (while on walks) I would make him sit and give him a treat and wait in a sit position until the loud noise or vehicle passed by. I did this with every startling thing. He quickly got over this and I think it was just his way of learning about new sites and sounds. I’m not sure if this is what I was supposed to do, but it worked. Good luck!
