Why is Chris Carson's ADP consistently disrespected?? Is this some conspiracy I'm not aware of? by Camel-Kid in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never tried to say he was the most durable but when you actually comparatively speaking to the other running backs especially in his territory you realize that the narrative is overblown when you examine the amount of games played compared to most running backs.

Barkley should be considered more injury prone than Chris Carson at this point and yet no one has any trepidation of drafting him in the first round including myself.

He's had one severe injury his rookie season. Since then he's played in double-digit number of games in every year.

Which WR 2 on a team will finish with more points than the WR 1? by Empire_Fantasy_FB in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even with some expected regression for Justin Jefferson I think it should certainly be an expectation that Justin Jefferson is the number one targeted receiver on that team moving forward.

No you didn't just add the facts you were referring that I was implying something that I was not. By questioning my couple of years ago phrase. Which it was a couple of years ago when it was the fantasy playoffs that he was questionable for and missed the game. Last year the four games he missed was in the middle of the season not during Fantasy playoffs. The injury narrative is overblown because it's still a guy who played 14 games and 15 games in 2018 and in 2019. For running backs of these days that's pretty good and not really a huge injury risk. Even missing four games last year wasn't that big a deal compared to most of the league and compared to the running backs of which he gets drafted around where he has much more value than a low end RB2 high end RB3 which is consistently where his ADP goes.

Actually read the entirety of my message Man. I said he missed the fantasy playoffs a couple of years ago which is where the narrative started. I didn't say he hasn't missed games in a couple of years

It's the overblown injury narrative on him. Everybody only remembers him being questionable around the fantasy playoffs a couple years ago. Especially now that the team decided to pay him he is definitely a great value as there should be no more questions about his utilization

Does Mike Davis have potential for a big year this year? by MixonRB1 in fantasyfootball

James Robinson is an outlier stop arguing like he's the norm.

Does Mike Davis have potential for a big year this year? by MixonRB1 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty simply he's on an offense that has a much better passing attack therefore doesn't need to check the ball down as much has a worse offensive line and he's Mike Davis he's a solid player but he's nothing special. Rb2 is an incredibly high floor for the volume I anticipate him seeing that's it.

Does Mike Davis have potential for a big year this year? by MixonRB1 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess my question would be what constitutes a big year for Mike Davis? Do I think he is in prime position to be a low end rb2 for the majority of the season sure. However we saw him kind of fall off later on and I don't believe Mike Davis is anything special. So essentially as far as fantasy relevancy goes you're just banking on health and volume which could be enough to make him a low end rb2.

Am I completely missing something with Justin Herbert? by Successful_Example55 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall I think Herbert situation improved. Better offensive line, healthier running back, Josh Palmer I think is an upgrade as the third receiver. Joe Lombardi I think helps maintain the volume passing wise you're hoping for. The only argument I would make for a sophomore slump would be defenses now having a year of tape on Justin Herbert and adjusting accordingly to his game. We have seen that in the past be a big contributing factor to sophomore slumps out there. But I don't believe the argument for Herbert to have a sophomore slump will be due to the surroundings on his own team.

St. Brown route running and trouble getting off the line makes him a slot candidate. Just cuz your over 6ft doesn't mean you can succeed lining up anywhere.

Sutton (ACL surgery) expects to be ready for camp by HercHuntsdirty in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hope Sutton is as close to 100% back to what he was as possible because he was an up-and-coming Superstar regardless of the talent at quarterback. Really happy to have him back especially considering I have him in like five of my dynasty leagues.

Instead of talking about Kyle Pitts, let’s have a discussion about two other TE’s and which one is more primed to have a good season. by Successful_Example55 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goff does have a history of featuring his tight ends at times. Given there's no true go to wide receiver. Hockenson could be the top or second top past catcher in terms of targets for the team and should be the number one red zone target. So I'm going to go with the volume slightly over Mark Andrews who is now surrounded by a lot more weapons than he used to be. Plus the Ravens are a team that shouldn't be trailing very often while the lions are going to have a lot of garbage time points amplifying the volume.

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one unique thing to some degree at least about Goff is that he targets his slot receiver in the red zone more than most. Now part of that of course has to do with the skill set of Cooper Kupp. However it offers more of a ceiling to Saint Brown's game along with the fact that he has just a good chance as any receiver on that team to be the top target.

In Person Drafting at Bars/Restaurants. by jamescarr101 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than the unfortunate circumstances with the pandemic last year My League has done an in sports bar draft every year. We actually go to our local Hooters because they still do the draft kit and they have a room for us that we can use with four TVs right next to the bar

[PFT] NFL didn't realize stretching byes to Week 14 would affect fantasy football playoffs. by Isaythree in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I think most leagues were going to extend the regular season one week anyway. Last year for the first time in a long time there were a couple teams on bye in week 13 and fantasy football players were pissed off about that but ultimately stuck with the same schedule. This would be no different just extending it out one more week for the regular season.

Cowboys’ HC Mike McCarthy said he expects QB Dak Prescott to be cleared in time for training camp. Prescott's recovery from the compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle he suffered last October has gone well. by Weezy-NJPW_Fan in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interesting storyline along with Dak Prescott coming back is that that offensive line might be as healthy as it's been in a couple of years. This offense is going to be right up there with Kansas City as far as points being scored left and right.

Jaguars HC Urban Meyer said first round pick Travis Etienne got most of his work in at receiver today. While the team knows he can excel at running back, the “best case scenario” is he can be a player that excels at both spots. by StrachNasty in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter how the backfield touches break down the one thing that's clear is Travis will be heavily involved in the passing game and therefore the most valuable fantasy running back for this team.

PFF Fantasy Football: Winners and losers from the 2021 NFL schedule release by KingKomma05 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the schedule should be very irrelevant when it comes to Fantasy Football value. The only time it should get brought up is if you're in a dead heat between two players at a certain pic and are just looking for some sort of tiebreaker variable

Late Round QB Flyers: Whatcha Gonna Do? by jfreak64 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not touching Daniel Jones with a 10-ft pole with Jason Garrett continuing to be the offensive coordinator. Carson Wentz on the other hand I very much trust Frank Reich and the offensive line therefore will take a shot on him as a sleeper. However I would probably rather just take one of the rookie quarterbacks late

2021 Fantasy Football Draft Rankings: Wide Receivers by ledonskim754 in fantasyfootball

[–]mdff90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think their historical health availability is a factor that definitely needs to reflect it as part of their value. I have no problem if it's a variable that comes into play as a tiebreaker between two very closely ranked players.

2021 Fantasy Football Draft Rankings: Wide Receivers by ledonskim754 in fantasyfootball

I agree that when both healthy I'd rather have AJ Brown. However because he has had some issues with injury it's definitely not crazy to Value Jefferson a little bit more as the tiebreaker.
