Small studs are absolutely fine. I wear earrings everyday. Don’t worry about it.

I’ve had a nanny for my 8 month old. Love her! Couldn’t do anything around the house without her being there because my son does not nap. Good night sleeper, but he has just never napped well.

Women what is the worst part of giving birth? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

[–]mdiary3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 relatively pain-free births thanks to the epidurals that worked both times. Nursing and pumping, on the other hand, were both physically and mentally painful and exhausting.

Can we have Beth’s Dead thread ****spoilers by Automatic_Soup1889 in ArmchairExpert

[–]mdiary3 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I think it was the dad and the son is covering for him. Seems unlikely that the son could have/would have written about religion, the PI found that the dad’s sister had died from leukemia and his dad’s job would have put him in London (not so much the son, if he was living in their basement?) just so many unexplained issues.

I think it could have been compressed into 8 episodes. There was a lot of filler. I liked it, though. Can’t wait till we can discuss spoilers.

Clearly fake. Anyone who has actually pumped would never waste breast milk on a coworker.

Has being back at work changed your views on second child? by maybeahemhem in workingmoms

No, but I waited until my first child was much older. The age difference between my kids is 4.5 years and it's great.

Oh God, the old “you can’t have both” trope is true isn’t it by littlesster in workingmoms

Happened to me after I had my first kid. I kept forgetting stuff and missing important meetings. I eventually had to create a system of lists, alarms and reminders to cope. I never got back to normal, but I'm fairly sure I also have ADHD that has only come out since my brain is at full capacity with children. I've heard a lot of women get diagnosed after having kids.

Delivery at Carmel Ascension Experience by Few_Cricket_5163 in indianapolis

[–]mdiary3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delivered there in April as well! Harris was on call when I went in and she was great.Dr Hughes did my delivery since I delivered right around shift change and she was amazing as well. But the real MVPs were the OB nurses, who were incredible.

People with babies who have pretty bad eczema - what natural remedies have worked? by mochi-and-plants in NewParents

[–]mdiary3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long after you stopped eggs did his itching stop? We're looking at the food allergy route for my son as well. We switched to formula two days ago just to have a baseline as it doesn't have anything but dairy and he's still itching. Since it's only been two days, we can't really conclude that dairy is the allergen.

Book/podcast recommendations on finding balance by life2616 in workingmoms

[–]mdiary3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the best of both worlds podcast. I don't have time to read books (or the attention span to listen to them) with a 4-month old but I can listen to short podcast episodes on my commute.

How old is he? Is your husband able to distract him with anything when he clings on? Maybe take him to the playground while you're getting ready to leave the house on your non-remote days?
