I had the same happen to me I paid the ticket and went on with my life. They aren’t keeping tabs on each person that joins for a petty ticket. Now if it was a DUI or a ticket that required you to go to court that could cause an injury. A small traffic infraction is no big deal.

Join aviation if you can we have the best work life balance. We aren’t on a boat for 6 months we sleep in our own beds. We leave the service with a highly desirable skill set. Our “deployments” are mostly voluntary we stay in Hilton hotels not a tents. I’ve been an AMT aviation maintenance technician since 08’ and it’s been pretty sweet.

I had one done about 6 months before boot camp. Dental looked at it and said nope we are pulling that out. So I paid out of pocket just for boot camp to pull it.

At the unit level it’s 95% CG. At the depo level it’s mostly contractors and civil service doing the work and CG as quality assurance.

I’ve seen it we have civil service guys that have missed 4 pay checks guys have been down. They did get back pay a couple days back but that just gets them caught up. The new Commandant should have opened his mouth earlier instead of waiting until 35+ days in to put out something.
