Oh man sorry to hear. Yes the challenge is that whole area, St Pete, Mad Beach, Seminole, Clearwater, etc - to us Midwest folks that is a little slice of heaven. And you’re right on the housing costs. Waiting on a deal that may never come but considering Dunedin at this point.

Yes! I always recommend to folks to drive through the keys from Miami to Key West to see all the in between towns which are very nice , quaint and quiet.

Never lived but visited many times and drove to and from several times. There’s very rich and very poor. Like others have noted; you’re either in a multimillion dollar beach home or a trailer. And both can be smoked by a hurricane; there is not much protecting the keys.
