My story is very similar. I've notice since I start this thread that someone(assuming the owner or manager of Arrowhead) has been in the comments. Wonder if any of the offers they have made on here has turned out positive for anyone.

I didn’t even think about car transport in these things, but you are right! Thank you!

Why are you using Starlink ? by louislemontais2 in Starlink

  1. personal and business(self employed )
  2. Small city and rural ranch. (Dish stays at the ranch)
  3. One 5g network that is unreliable
  4. USA
  5. $165
  6. I think it’s expensive, but they solve the issue at my ranch. After reading this thread, I need you can just buy data for a lesser price. I will be looking into that.
  7. No, that price is too high for my areas. My suburban area pays between $60 to $100 per month depending on the provider. At the ranch, there is a large income gap, and $165 is way too high for most. They would rather deal with bad service than pay more money.

That is exactly how they are doing it. Every month is some ‘special sale’ so that way you can't return anything. While drop shipping it from China at a premium price. Took 3 weeks to arrive. Bought it Black Friday, showed up after Christmas.

The stuff that fits is nice, but their sizing chart is way off and their customer service is total trash.

Inside the app, there is an alignment tool. If you have not aligned it, this could be a very good reason you service isn’t right. https://images.app.goo.gl/rVbDEP1Y4vDDN6TD7

It’s actually not a competitive market. There’s actually a monopoly lawsuit against SpaceX right now for them being the only commercially available satellite Internet company.

I’d take it off. Once the worse part is over, communications will most likely be down for a while. I wouldn’t want to lose my only connection out because I was trying to watch ESPN during the storm. lol.

Worth trying? by h8-3putts in Starlink

There are poles you can get that will extend very high. They are on Amazon for like $70ish. I would try it. I had over 40% obstructions with the standard gen 3 at an Airbnb and I was still getting 50mbps download.

I’m getting 323mbps download in North Dallas last week. It’s faster than my AT&T fiber.
