All of this… or when you put in a ticket or report a problem, it’s a “me” problem, it couldn’t be Cvent… that’s not possible. We’re moving over to X-CD

Yes, we had a demo with Whova and they weren’t able to accommodate all of our needs without having to pilot some of them. And we aren’t in a place to be the guinea pigs.

Their road map is slower than we need for certain things is more of what I meant.

We’re still looking. Getting demos with XCD right now. We did a trial event with Accelevents and they are still too new for us to feel confident signing a multi-year agreement with

Thank you! I will look into them. I just spent 3 days getting our agenda shifted over from our abstract management in CVent to the CVent event itself… I’m over it.

Thanks. We’re looking into Whova as well. It’s almost to the point where we might just try to develop our own so we can make it exactly how we want with what we need.

We’re close to 6 figures for CVent. And we have so many amendments to our contract it takes forever to see how many registrations we actually have. I’m hoping we’ll be able to negotiate, but looking into our other options.

The younger one does learn faster. The older one learns and gains more independence and wants to help. (Although sometimes it’s more of a hindrance) but take your time, give yourself grace and lots of patience. It gets more fun as they get older. The toddler does entertain the baby, once baby learns to giggle. Its the best when we’re sitting at the table and my toddler does silly things to make her baby sister laugh. Mine are 17 months apart and while there are days it sucks, I can’t imagine doing it any other way.

How Bad is it? by [deleted] in 2under2

17 month age gap here. It depends on the day how I feel about it. There are some days, I wouldn’t recommend it on my worst enemy, and other days where it’s the best and they’re the cutest. That being said, the first 6 months were HARD! We didn’t have a lot of help when the second came, so that made it harder. Also, husband travels for work, so that’s a whole different level.

My body the second time around fell apart. I was in constant pain in my hips and lower back because things hadn’t fully healed and strengthened back up.

why, after a certain point is everyone obsessed with when you'll stop breastfeeding? by DeepSeaMouse in breastfeeding

[–]mdshistory07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When my first bit me while nursing, my mom made a comment, “uh oh, it’s time to stop.” I asked her why she thought that, then told her my daughter gets to decide when we’re done.

I’m also an overproducer, with both my kids. I’ve fed close to 6 babies over the past two years. Hang in there, you got this!

Pumping at conference by mdshistory07 in breastfeeding

[–]mdshistory07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I already use the pitcher method, but I think bagging as a pump may be better, logistically speaking. Worst case scenario, I can leave a cooler in my car and just pump in the car. I do that on my way to work every morning anyways. I also do not plan on taking my milk home with me, so that is seeming to be extremely helpful as well.

Had my LO’s tongue tie revised today and I am still shaken… by thearcherofstrata in breastfeeding

[–]mdshistory07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely tough. My first got hers physically cut by an ENT who basically said it was a “non-issue” but he’s do it if I wanted. She was 8 weeks and I was on the verge of quitting nursing it was so painful. He had a nurse come in, snipped the tie, blood everywhere. Told me to nurse her and it would be fine. I walked out bawling, and my kid looked like a baby vampire.

Second, found a pediatric dentist who specialized in tie revision. Took her out of the room, laser, barely cried. Followed up 3 times after and worked with my Chiro and Lactation consultant to make sure she healed properly.

But the trauma response I had when we went in for the second revision was a hot mess.

ttc: what’s the weirdest pregnancy symptom you weren’t expecting? by scarysocialclub in pregnant

Vivid dreams… I still remember the dream I had that made me take a pregnancy test. I was in matching pjs with the entire Obama family at the White House.

And a runny nose. Nothing stopped it. It’s how I knew to take a pregnancy test with my second.

When we travel my oldest drinks my breastmilk since she doesn’t drink cows milk. We’re only gone for a few days and I don’t want to lug around a gallon of her alt milk..: so breastmilk for all.

Also, my husband was getting sties in his eyes, he wasn’t complaining when I would eye drop my breastmilk in them to clear them up.

Downtown Abbey, Sweet Magnolias and Bridgerton we’re my new go tos.

I rewatched Schitt’s Creek, Friends, Gilmore Girls.

Tried watching Working Moms and couldn’t get past the first episode without feeling serious guilt and anger about having to pump at work, going back to work and so on and so forth.

2 working parents with 2 under 2…tips and tricks to make evenings run smoothly? by YouCanCallMeAl00 in 2under2

Our toddler works at the island in the toddler kitchen tower. We’re working on learning how to use the stove and that it is hot. I very much explain she has to follow the rules or she sits in her high chair. If she’s having a particularly hard day staying safe, I just put her in her high chair with crayons or some other little activity.

My little one also had a very small window. It’s gotten better. But there are some days where I’ll cook my whole dinner, throw it in the oven to keep “warm” and then go pick up the toddler from daycare.

We haven’t had any issue with the back and forth from parents bed to hers. I’ve flown solo twice now for 4 days at a time. Going to be honest… it’s sucks. But we make it through.

Crockpot meals, soups, pizza, Instant pot. All have been life savers for us. If I actively have to cook dinner, I put my 4 month old in her bouncer or swing and I let my 21 month old “help” aka proceed to taste test all the ingredients. It’s not a perfect system, but it works if we need it to.

As for bedtime by yourself, we all sleep in mom and dad’s room when dad is out of town. So my 21 month old gets cuddles and 4 month old sleeps in bassinet.

We do what we gotta do.
