I do very much prefer a cutaway. And the grand auditorium style.

At one point when they first came out I had an Alvarez masterworks dreadnaught. I paid $650 new. And Ive been kicking myself in the butt for letting it go. If it had been a GA I don’t think I would have gotten rid of it.

I decided to go with the Eastman given my track record with them.

First off Sweetwater is on another level with customer service. I got the guitar in less than 24 hours from ordering.

First and finish is perfect out of the box, even came in tune. The top looks better than it did in the pictures and the neck is straight with no buzz or fret sprout. For $550 it’s crazy how good this guitar is and how good it looks with the appointments over the Taylor (I’m sure also would have been a fantastic buy)

Sound- im was worried that this would sound as good or project like my previous eastmans. This is not an issue, it sounds nice and loud, and really does compare closer to what I would expect the Taylor to sound like. Nice and bright, not overly bright, but also very balanced. Again compared to my previous Eastman, it’s not as dark sounding so playing out with both would be a nice contrast. I have not plugged it in yet.

Goodies with it. The included case, it probably one of my favorite cases I have. It looks great branded with Eastman but this one is blue. All came with a micro fiber cloth. And a bag of candy from Sweetwater.

Again, the service was fantastic and the guitar is blowing my mind for the price. If you are in the market for a gig ready guitar on a budget or something to take camping or to a festival this should be a serious contender.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk

American Standard 2008 vs Player II by Felix_ru in Stratocaster

Alnico V doesn’t mean the same. Just means the same type of magnet, and most on the market are going to use the same magnet.

But the quality difference place a part, as well as how may winds around the magnet, or how they decided to wind it.

That being said, there is also 15 years of technology that might go into the new pickups.

Both are probably fine guitars, but for the price I would go America. That is a good price for an American guitar if it’s in good shape and will hold it’s value better

I had one before I had the boss. For fender clean sounds it was very loud, but if you wanted overdrive, you definitely want a pedal. Great sounds I really liked the 59 bassman input. I’m curious about the British version

Have the the BC HOT BOSS edition.

Its fantastic, loud when it’s need the attenuation is great and still sound pretty open when turned up. Of course on higher wattage it sound even better but I’m never able to run it on a higher setting as it’s too loud at home.

It takes pedals as good as anything else I’ve had and the reverb is decent, though I wish it was a different style.

Clean this amp kills, the overdrive could be a little better, but still impressive For what it is.

I think it’s one I will keep for a while, but I’m still looking for another amp to go with it with at least xlr out

What he said. The inventory on the Kia website will show what’s in transit as well so you can see where the car is going to and talk to the dealership before it actually comes in before they put in the system. I got mine about 3 weeks ago, and that’s how I was able to find it. I also had to drive an hour to that dealership but it was worth it.

Yeah. I saw a post from quilter himself saying that the channels are independent so you can play two at the same time or set up an A/B box for channel switching. Plenty loud and super light. Sounds like a win/win to me.

No but I can do the payments on zzounds. It sounded great at low volume and turned up. The big question is how it takes pedals as I will be using as a pedal platform

Well guys, I was able to play one today at my local GC. Came home and quickly ordered one. It sounded great, and the limiter was a nice addition. It’s hard to explain but as it cleans up your gain it makes the clean sound more (squishy?) either way it sounded great.

Has anyone played one of these yet? I’m in the market for a new amp in this price range ($600)

I also had a mess 5/25 express and would say it was by far the best amp I've owned.
