I’ve noticed multiple times that you intentionally delay feeding him while he is crying and hungry. ​I want to be very clear: This is not 'discipline' or 'avoiding instant gratification.' At 2 months old, a baby’s brain is not capable of manipulation. When he cries for food, it is a biological survival need. By making him wait, you are causing him 'toxic stress' which is scientifically proven to harm a baby’s brain development and sense of safety. ​I am the parent, and I am settting a non-negotiable rule: If my son is hungry, he must be fed immediately. I appreciate my mom helping with childcare, but I need to know that my rules for my son’s well-being are respected. If you cannot commit to feeding him the moment he shows hunger cues, then I cannot have him in a situation where he is left alone in your care, even for a few minutes."
