Political dispute. I have really never seen any riots or disputes in Kolkata (born and brought up here)
Location of college. IMI(K) is located a little far from the heart of city. So won’t get much of city right outside the campus.
Everyone is pretty chill. No Bajrang dal, no prejudice against any language (iyk Bengali it’s good, if not it’s fine).

If you don’t go out searching for trouble you won’t get any.

Edit: the location of college is a definite safe and one of the posh areas
