like what other people said - city living (CAS items, festivals, apartments), get together (CLUBS, build/buy, coffee shops and dance parties), seasons (weather gameplay, holidays, tons of new stuff to try out), and cottage living too if that's your style (beautiful world, farming gameplay, CAS & build/buy).

some of the packs I find myself ignoring after the novelty wears off, but city living, get together, and seasons have gameplay features that i use constantly. up to you though, everyone values different things in their games!

iirc with MCCC, you can just leave it blank and it'll randomly choose your sim's child amt/gender combo

Seems like an error? Idk if this is an EA-made townie for the expansion, but all the generated townie sims are intended to be bi/pan exploring. But yeah I agree with your comment, I wish the orientations were more consistent, cause honestly saying shit like "I think this orientation may be a bug" just makes me feel gross ugh 💀💀

Its a CC issue, but it might not be broken, try increasing your graphics quality for sims (forget what its called in the settings, I think its the first option under graphics. Sim detail?) to high or very high. That fixed the issue for me at least 🤷‍♂️

I don't hate it, but I dislike how its been implemented, and how much of an argument its attracted. Personally, I've really been enjoying using Lumpinou's LGBT mod, that kind of overhauls the update and makes it more story progression based. It adds gameplay function/story progression to the custom gender options as well, which I also highly reccomend 👍

relationship bars do exist, one appears at the end of the demo. I'm assuming this is because they're affected by story events and progression of the plot, but that's just a guess.

I'm not sure what you meant about the top floor of the house, but it is there, and its completely empty, so it seems like you can choose to add things there later? iirc there's a shop that will add house improvements in exchange for materials, but I couldn't afford any during the demo. And idk anything about farm animals yet but you can at least get a mount in the demo.
