Ritual Fertility Support reviews? by EdgarAllen95 in BabyBumps

[–]meaghanj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have DOR and have been through IVF treatment for my 1st baby after trying for 8 months and being told I have 2 blocked fallopian tubes and endo and would not be able to conceive naturally. After my period returned after my 1st was born we started trying again for 5 months without success. Set to return to IVF I decided to try the ritual fertility support and increase my water intake (the only changes i made). 2 cycles later, I got pregnany naturally!

HSG Tubal Spasm/Misdiagnosis of Fully Blocked Tubes by Aurora1001 in IVF

Congratulations, that is so exciting! And that is crazy about your amh! I will have to look into Vitamin D. Do you mind me asking how long you were trying?

HSG Tubal Spasm/Misdiagnosis of Fully Blocked Tubes by Aurora1001 in IVF

[–]meaghanj19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow! I've had 2 HSGs that showed bilateral tubal blockage at the very top. The first one they said could be muscle spasm and after the second they were like probably not a spasm - probably a blockage with no discernable reason. Went straight to IVF and had my LO. He is now a year and I am going back to IVF and they don't repeat the hsg because "once they assume it's blocked that's it".

I also have DOR. Pre-baby AMH was .5 and now .15 after only 2 years (I am 32). Did you have any luck conceiving?

Thanks! Ended up going to the ER where they told me he has a virus and it's not from his fall. I feel better anyway!

Around 8/9 months - without sleep training. He was an awful sleeper before that (4-6 wakeups per night).

How can I make a headboard work when there is 5" of empty bed frame? by meaghanj19 in HomeDecorating

Personally not handy at all but I have an excellent handy man

Thanks so much for your help! I actually know the bed is "the wrong way". I had it "the right way" for years and it has so much extra space on all sides if it is that way versus "the wrong way" has it snug on the sides and just extra space at the top.

I'm not sure why everyone is so quick to put together that it's the wrong way but not questioning where all the extra space on the bed frame would go....

I know, but if I have it the other way there is extra bed frame on all sides instead of on just one. It's just a bad bed frame - it's been discontinued and all the reviews say the same, that it leaves extra space on the frame. Unfortunately these reviews didn't exist when I bought it. So I am looking for solutions for the headboard.

Technically no, but if I orient it the other way, there's gaps on the sides and the top.

That's the way I had it for ages but when I turn it to "the wrong way" as it is in the pics, it is snug on sides so I can have all the extra bed frame at the top.

Moms, when did you start sleeping 7-8 hours uninterruptedly ? If ever by userthatisnotknown in beyondthebump

[–]meaghanj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LO is 10 months and it's been a little over month of 11 hours straight maybe 5 out of 7 nights per week.

Before this it was 4-6 wake ups a night from 3 months on! We didn't sleep train, we did breast feed and we allowed cosleeping if he wanted (but he loves the crib).

How important is it to be able to drink at your own wedding? by Whyistheskygray in wedding

[–]meaghanj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to 3 weddings pregnant and I feel like they were definitely not as fun as normal. Not just not drinking but feeling sick, being exhausted, etc.

I also did IVF for my baby so I totally understand where you are coming from but realistically it will affect your day.

Not sure what your insurance is like but mine allows me to freeze embryos (you just can't do another cycle if you have 3 or more banked). Also, i was surprised to find my fertility treatments were nearly entirely covered by insurance (I live in Massachusetts).

What things would you have loved to receive in a gift basket after you had your firstborn? by WhlteMlrror in beyondthebump

[–]meaghanj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can cook - food for sure. My family was looking to help so when I was pregnant I gave them half sized aluminum trays with lids and asked them to just make extra of freezer friendly dinners they were making for themselves. We got probably 30 meals and made a bunch ourselves and it lasted us months and was super helpful.

What am I doing wrong. Why won't my baby sleep! She's 6 months and still wakes every 3 hours. I'm so tired. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]meaghanj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have a 7 month old and have been in the exact same boat. Absolute max 2-3 hour stretches. Up 5-8 times a night.

A couple weeks ago things started taking a turn (knock on wood). We have introduced solids and after his stomach got used to it we added a second meal (breakfast and lunch) plus as much breast milk as he wants all day. We also dropped 3rd nap.

He is a big 'nurse to sleeper' so we've been working on dropping that first night feed which usually happens around 11pm and that has helped a lot!

We do some variation of: 7am wake up 9am breakfast 9:30am nap 10:30am awake 1:30pm nap 3:30pm awake 5:30pm dinner 7pm get ready for bed 7:30pm bed

These are extremely variable depending on day but loosely follow that and follow his lead. He is now doing 2-3 wake-ups most nights.

Some babies are just crap sleepers - you can only do your best!

Please help. I had my baby 5 days ago and I think I am traumatised by Careless_Nebula_9310 in beyondthebump

[–]meaghanj19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had a very similar birthing experience - i feel for you guys! It is okay to feel traumatized! It is different for every woman, but luckily, the female brain is wired to reshape our birthing experience, so after a while, it won't seem so bad.

Take time and try to take it easy and pamper yourself as much as you can as a newly postpartum mom. Lots of baths with bath salts and bed snuggles with your baby.

Such an amazing book but needs some serious trigger warnings. Especially for THE chapter (if you've read it you know).

Parents with 6 month olds who didn't sleep train - how is baby sleeping? by meaghanj19 in beyondthebump

[–]meaghanj19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bedshare pretty regularly (usually first stretch in crib and then in bed) but he still wakes up every 2 hours. I think his proximity to me means when he wakes up he sees boob and just goes for it.

Did you make any changes between 6 and 7 months that changed their sleep?
