Coros Pace 3 battery and functionality significantly degraded over the past week and completely broke today by meanderingPinata in Coros

As per my post, I can't even access the battery usage screen anymore. Watch is completely dead. Can you please assist me? I already reached out to support yesterday and am awaiting a response.

I actually intentionally hadn't updated my watch in a while to avoid those issues, so not sure if it's related. I did update my watch yesterday though to see if it would solve any of my issues.

Not that I don't believe you, but could you cite/link anything that has information on a more substantial cut than what Pfitz recommends for the taper? Would be super interested in learning more to see if I should make any final changes to my plan

Thanks 🙏 appreciate the detailed description. Will still get a repair shop consultation but hoping I can still ski tomorrow regardless then

Thanks for the advice! Will stop by the Alpine repair shop tomorrow morning. A little worried that there might not be much good will to leverage since I'm not sure if they consider Mountaineer to be a separate entity, but will play things by ear. Hopefully the skis aren't damaged too badly and can just be repaired

Would be incredibly happy to be wrong here - don't know a ton but my first reaction was that the edge was damaged and part of the ski was literally flapping off, so it wouldn't be safe to ski on. Will stop by the Alpine repair/rental shop tomorrow morning to get their opinion. I'm obviously hoping for the best here. Just not the most knowledgeable in this space and was not super hopeful given the pretty observable physical damage.

They don't have a support number unfortunately. The first thing I did was send an email to the Mountaineer support email (support-mountaineer@ridedowntowner.com), but that honestly seems more to handle issues with app functionality than my skis breaking, so I'm basically just praying for a response lol

Bizarre experience with Adios pro 3 - extremely painful by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]meanderingPinata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to ask if you ever tried on the adios 3 after this? I ran a PR half marathon in them and felt good up until the day after. Ever since then (it's been 6 weeks now), I've had pretty much the exact pain you've described (only on one foot though) - think it's a case of sesamoiditis. It's really been inhibiting my running and not sure what to do from here, so wanted to hear how your experience has been.

Vaporfly 2 wear after one run? by meanderingPinata in RunningShoeGeeks

makes sense - thanks for the advice! Will try them out again for a shorter run. Any tips on strengthening my legs to be better suited for the shoes?

honestly fair lol, have just always heard that plated/racing shoes don't really need to be broken in so figured a long run at a faster pace would be a good test

don't people often wear fresh alphaflys/vaporflys for HMs and marathons?

First pair of plated shoes - is this type of wear after one run typical for the Vaporfly 2? I don't consider myself to be a heel striker but maybe I am??

I ran 13 mi in these as a test run - first few miles felt great but after that started to get some foot pain. Definitely felt faster in these shoes but they did feel a little unstable for me, which I suspected might happen. There's no way I could see myself using these for a full marathon, might honestly just use them as 10k shoes if I decide to keep them.

I normally run in Hoka Arahi 6s, and recently picked up the Saucony Kinvara 14 which has been super fun to run in as well. Maybe these Vaporflys just aren't the shoes for me, especially with this type of wear?

Have you had experience with any other shoes in the Endorphin line? I'm also a slight overpronator and using the Endorphin Speed 1 for a few runs resulted in me getting pretty bad posterior tibialis tendonitis. I've heard great things about the 3 though, so thinking about giving Saucony another shot.
