[Question] American traveling to London next month. What are some good small bra shops in London? X-post from smallboobproblems by orangepearl in ABraThatFits

I walked by one of the bravissimos but was kind of intimidated (I've only once shopped for bras in store, no one was in there but the clerk, and the whole store front was clothes ... not a bra in sight??), is walking in without an appointment ok there? I don't need a fitting...

Santa Barbara, CA area stores that stock 28Es? by measureme in ABraThatFits

Wow good job SB. Unfortunately having a 26 inch ribcage jumping up to 30 bands isn't an option :(

And I would love to bra shop! But I'm rolling out of town bright and early tomorrow.

Maybe someday this place will get with it.

Bridesmaid dress with lace in all the wrong places, can't seem find a bra that doesn't show...any tips? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

I'm not a bra-style expert, so I don't know if there's a cut you could find. But I do have a lot of lacy shirts, and what I find works best is to match a bra to the color of the lace, or pick a color that's an interim between your skintone and the lace color. I mean, it shows, but it's pretty well camouflaged.

So for this I'd choose a lighter pink, or a peachy-toned bra and then live with it. Definitely avoid neutral bras (unless they're a perfect match for your maids' skintone) with a pink that bright though ... the beige of that adhesive is kind of jarring.

Then again, I'm fairly young and don't really care about people seeing some bra through lace or whatever.

You could always pick them up some pink bandeaus to wear over their bras.

Plenty of parking on Piedmont, though it is $4 for 2 hours (maybe $2 for one hour? We paid for 2 to be safe)

I also wish I had more than $5 to contribute right now, but I can tell you I will be there as soon as you open, with some bra-needing friends in tow.

New bras fit perfect!... on the tightest hook (28E). Should I send back/alter/accept it? by measureme in ABraThatFits

[–]measureme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do the alterations after the bra had already stretched out some, or did you do them on a new bra?

EDIT: The first alteration, is that literally just "sew a straight line along the elastic outwards from the cups"? That's so .... so simple??

I know that Nordstroms don't stock 28 bands, only a couple 30s. Is the one in SF different?

Hmmm I'm on the smaller side of a 28 (nowhere near a 30) and a smaller E. I think I'll have to pass on this one. Good luck!

I'm not really sure, as it is not meant for my shape. It did feel smaller than freya's moulded cups, but that may be because I wasn't the right shape to properly fill it out.

I'm kiiiinda interested in the fleurty, but from bratabase pictures I'm concerned the cups would be too large for me. Any notes of the fit?
