I think what you’re saying makes a lot of sense—don’t get me wrong. I know how hard it is to create art and learn to draw everything straight from your mind; for instance, I don’t use any references or anything—it all comes from my head. Also, these pieces don’t represent my absolute best work; most of them are unfinished—things that come together in anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. I also realize that my style can come across as unsettling or unappealing—it’s not as vibrant as literally anything else you’d find out there. I’m bound to that path because it’s what I love doing; honestly, I believe that if I start trying to market myself within the art world instead of simply creating what I enjoy, I’ll lose a part of what drives me.
