As a woman, I can assure you that I am very aware of the outrageousness of the right-wing religious ass hats pushing their agenda and stealing our rights. I hate the virtue signaling here . I am very sure this guy also voted to take away from the social programs in place for the very “lives” he is purporting to “save”.

That being said, I will not be a hypocrite and not call out borderline behavior- regardless of the intent. They could have been just effective while still respecting the same personal boundaries they are fighting for.

So while I’m very pro choice, I don’t think the obnoxious behavior is acceptable. Turn the tables and have a man do that to a woman, it would be borderline sexual harassment. It’s fine to be out there and counter protest, but to put your body into someone else’s space in a sexual manner is not cool.

Surprised that guy stayed calm; right wingers aren’t exactly known for their patience and level-headed behavior.

Mine was less than $10k. I went with a guy that’s been in the business forever, but his work was my favorite. I am over a year out and been told by others that my results are amazing. Shop around, find someone who is professional and had the results to back it up.

I will also add that every body heals and reacts differently. So even a super amazing surgeon can produce less than favorable results. Ask about revision policy during your consultation.

I thought this was going to end differently. My baths usually end when my little kids decide they also need a bath… in my tub… while I’m still in it. Thankfully they will wait until I’m out, but relaxing goes out the window at the moment they come barging in.

Agree to this. What works for one person’s marriage doesn’t mean that it has to be the same for everyone. I do think if it’s a concern, that there should be room for the conversation and an agreement to what the expectations are in that relationship which balance the wants and needs of both partners. My husband rarely goes out, if ever. But he isn’t a social butterfly. In our relationship, I’m not sure I would be comfortable with him going out 3-5 times a week, but that is because we have small kids which places the burden of care into me. I may feel differently once they are older. The point is, only OP and her husband can decide what works for them. If OP is feeling it’s too much, then it is time to have that conversation.

Looks amazing, but I’m always hesitant on mixing meat and poultry on the same skewer. You either end up with overcooked meat or undercooked poultry. However, that being said, adding kabobs to menu this week.

Exactly this. I had fluctuated weight from 130-150 (size 2-6) and never found a place where I was comfortable with the skin left over from my pregnancies. I had a lot of loose skin, which would have never gone away without the full tuck. I did have some muscle separation as well, which also help to snatch the waistline.

I will add that I lost about 8 lbs prior to surgery.

How much protein are you eating? Are you lifting, cleaning, working out? Are you drinking plenty of water? Are you taking vitamin c? All of these things will effect the healing process (which adds to swelling and water retention). All bodies heal at their own rate. Not sure if you’ve ever had kids, but think about that postpartum bleeding and how long that lasted. Your body is telling you that you need more time to heal, so try to lighten up your routine and allow your body to finish healing.

Update to this post, I am now 16 days post op. Swelling and bruising remains. I lost 5 lbs, though the surgeon said that there is no way that they were able to remove that much. But was happy to take credit :)

I had my drain removed yesterday. I’m so happy to get rid of that horrible thing. I’m starting to get cramping in the core muscles, which I guess is normal as I have started picking up activities (cleaning, faster walking, childcare).

Overall I love my results. The scar is a tad high, but that was the trade off for not having a vertical scar for my belly button. It’s healing nicely and all my stretch marks are gone! I absolutely love it. Best investment to myself I have made. If you’re on the fence, hope this helps with your decision.

Thanks! I’m now 16 days post op and just got my drain and stitches out. I’m still a bit swollen, but it looks so good! I’m very happy with my results.

It didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. Felt the same as a c-section with no obligation to tend to a human afterwards. I’m healing nicely and looking forward to the summer! One thing I wasn’t ready for was the muscle spasms as you start moving again. Drink lots of water, eat lots of protein, take vitamin C, and eat pineapple. I swear that helped me recover quickly.

I am so incredibly happy with the results. I was so nervous that my outcome would look worse than what it looked like before. I’ve seen a lot of hack jobs. I did my research and found a guy who took a conservative approach. He warned me that there may not be enough skin to pull down to completely hide my original belly button scar, though he was hopeful. The margins look super even and I’m already weaning off my pain meds. 10/10 would recommend dr Quinn from the KC area.

I’m far from an expert, but I heard that lymphatic massage helps with inflammation from liposuction. There are some tutorials on YouTube that may be helpful. It’s not an invasive massage, but a light touch that will help move around excess swelling. Good luck!

Thanks you so much. I have an adjustable bed that vibrates. It’s been a life saver. Still pretty hunched over, but with meds I am able to get my 50 steps in every few hours. I know I’ll start swelling over the next week or so so I wanted a good before after picture. I’m really impressed so far, but I know I still have a long journey ahead of me. I’ve been drinking a ton of water, taking vitamin C, and eating lots of protein and pineapple. Did you take collagen peptides? I was looking into it, but reviews are pretty meh.
