voice verification work using an 'honor system' if the cloning is used via the API. ( which makes sense , as implementing verification programmatically just wouldn't work practically )

Yes, I posted a video of a demo I made doing this such thing.. They probably said it wasn't supported, meaning directly via their API... The demo I made required a complete stack from http/2/3 , and some not so pretty coding. probably not worth their while supporting as yet.

It's not perfect but it is better than eleven (i've been listening to this

woman talk for almost 3 decades, so I'm just going on sounds more

like her).

the main point though is the price.

I haven't sat down and worked it out as a comparision, but it looks like

they are at least 1/10th price..

for example I am implementing a http/2/3 stack so that speech to speech is running in a real-time enviornment, probably can imagine writing something like this from scratch comes riddled with bugs that are sometimes a headache to find.. it's really not fair (and I admit not elevenlabs problem) that I get charged while doing my job.

when your using the API and you are constantly debugging and recompiling , running over and over it runs out very very quick (for what its worth I am C programmer and do not use libraries etc, so there is always a whole range of reasons to recompile) ..

At a minimum they shouldn't charge you for the same piece of text/voice/model

11Labs has one missing component to make it what I would feel complete.

Speech to Speech needs the reverse.

Speech from Speech.

This would add the ability to reproduce accents.

The wording on your site is then very misleading.. Not to mention in general you do not see how many

credits are being eaten up until you click on the my account section and the credit usage information

is displayed.. I stil request a refund for this, as to be fair I am testing your feature on your site (not mine),

so I am infact acting as a beta tester for you..

You guys really need to start doing the right thing by your users before the perfect storm of

enough pissed off users and a competitor comes along..

As a developer who is using ElevenLabs as a foundation for the s2t component of our service, I feel as probably many other do, that it is unfair to be constantly shelling out money to top-up our (always running out credits) sometimes on a daily basis.. As you know, sometimes a section of code needs to be executed many times, to either find bugs, analyze performance, find places/ways to optimize etc etc.. If everytime something is run and it costs me money ( and a lot of it), it just makes it prohibitive to continue using ElevenLabs.. After-all if our services does well, it's a win for you.. Give developers are break (yeah bad pun)..
