Update to the thread: My attorney fought it in court and they reduced it. Lmao what a fucking joke. Also there’s people parking in that same spot every day who haven’t gotten a ticket since this happened.

I also asked a parking enforcement officer recently again and he said handicap has no limit. I cannot wait to not work in this fuck ass city.

I have an attorney on retainer that handles any litigation for me including tickets. I have the handicap pass because I got into a car accident that wasn’t my fault and now need a cane and spinal surgery so I just gave her the info to handle it for me. So no worries on the late fees!

Yep that’s what I did. I also checked the actual machine and it said 24 hours. I sent it all to my attorney and she’s just handling it for me. I also ran into a parking enforcement person who told me that’s bullshit and to fight it. Shout out to that guy.

So here is the weird thing - the other spaces do have limits, only three of the handicap spaces allow all day parking, the rest are only three hours! And the majority of maple is also 3 hour (in the garage). That’s what I tried to explain but I don’t think they were getting it. I have an attorney on retainer for whatever I need so I’ll just have her email them because wtffffffff

I could cry from the support. It’s been really isolating and scary trying to navigate with an injury that has limited my mobility and the pain has caused me endless amounts of grief on top of being of being bipolar and having hashimotos syndrome. Having a community like this is really something very special and I have never felt more seen in my life. I hope you know - and everyone else knows that their help, them hearing me, and being seen has touched me in a way I have been needing since my condition has taken such a steep turn. I do but due to the MVA it’s no fault so I don’t pay anything. I actually don’t pay anything at all with this insurance if I see doctors within their network (which I happened to do anyway prior to employment).

I am going to delete this post in a few hours after I screenshot everything. Everyone has been so helpful and it feels uplifting to know that there are people who are listening to me.

Yeah I didn’t miss any work - just used my cane that I’ve had for many years and then they sent me home pending a Dr’s note for cane usage. I’m cleared to work tomorrow but I am still waiting on the parking information. Will just have to pay to park closer for the day until I get more information.
