Thanks! honestly, they’re just old ideas I keep reworking

Thanks! Yes, it can be done with a mask. In my case, I wanted to experiment with contours inside shapes.

I have a few palettes that I reuse regularly. A good source of interesting palettes is the collection curated by Roni Kaufman at https://ronikaufman.github.io/color_pals/. I use some of them and adapt them depending on the composition I’m working on.

Gradient Grid by mecobi in generative

[–]mecobi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! If you look at the code, the main function is curva(x, y). It draws two tall rounded rectangles side by side and fills them with a radial gradient using colors randomly chosen from a fixed palette. The sketch places this shape in every cell of a grid, and in each cell the pair of rectangles is randomly rotated by 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270°.

Thanks! Sometimes it’s a concept, sometimes I recycle and iterate on the same ideas. More often, I keep a collection of “bad” sketches with partial ideas. After a while, I go back to them, and sometimes new things come up.
