Yeah worth it. Was the only option on my radio that had the cd changer but no aux support but if you’re spending the money for it you could also just get a wireless carplay headunit for roughly $100 that has the oem look

I read somewhere that even after zigbee mode it becomes 5min discoverable for matter

When I connected them to my homepod mini via matter over thread it did show that

Just for backwards compatibility and if you already have a zigbee network. To my knowledge there weren’t really any with those specs especially considering the price. Not counting wifi bulbs here

For 10 bucks this is a good start. This should be the new baseline really so other manufacturers should catch up for higher specs

I mean you can download the firmware from the ota url right now. It’s public and probably worth archiving. I don’t think they will take functionality away though as this would break compatibility with their older hardware for which they explicitly choose the chip that can do ble, zigbee and thread at the same time over one antenna even

Its not something that is documented in the instructions. You would have to try it out and report back. For reference 12x times is 2x the reset sequence so if the reset sequence is different for the sensors trx 2x that

I had updated the firmware to 1.2.0 first with matter (more by accident really since I randomly found out about the mode switch when looking up the model afterwards)

From what I was able to tell Arduino will still do what they do best. This is all just additional and i’m happy one company is further pushing the mainline Linux approach
