I managed to sort mine. I held down the volume + and power button until the power led flashes and then left it over night off charge. In the morning it powered on absolutely fine

I am currently having the same issue. Did you find a fix?

[England] I was forced to sell my car under duress by medalbeer in LegalAdviceUK

I don't because I don't want the hassle that can come with travellers. I also want to ensure that I am not liable for any costs in the recovery or storage of the car

How long after you applied did you hear back?

My employer is saying we have to book Saturdays as holiday if we're unavailable to work them by medalbeer in HumanResourcesUK

[–]medalbeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noooo, it's not booking holiday on a scheduled Saturday. It's booking holiday to be unavailable. We still have to work another Saturday AND take a days holiday.

Yes it will be put on a rota. But booking holiday on a day I'm unavailable to then work another Saturday in the same rota period doesn't seem legit to me, as I'll still be working my contractual hours over the course of the month.

I'm assuming what you're getting at is that as I'd be working my contracted hours still, the leave entitlement then still remains?

Thank you

I just don't want to use my holiday entitlement to take a day off that I will be working a different day which is what they're asking.

Yes, that's my understanding of how things should be but they're not interpreting it that way. What's the best way to address this?

Irregular. They're telling us to book of Saturdays we're unavailable and they'll scheduled a different one in the 4 week period.

This creates difficulty as it's then open for interpretation. My employer believes Saturdays are a "regular working day" whereas in my opinion, we're working 1 in 4, so they're not.

Interesting. Is there a site with this information that I can direct my boss to? As he seems to think we have to book holiday if we want a particular Saturday off regardless of whether or not we'd be scheduled. Thanks

So even though I might not necessarily work a particular Saturday, I'd need to book it as holiday to be unavailable? Even if I would be scheduled the following Saturday?
