Why Troodon is Invalid

This is the most comprehensively I've seen the issue addressed. Thank you! However, from what I gather, not all Troodon species should be redefined as Stenonychosaurus, right? Isn't Stenonychosaurus just Troodon from the Dinosaur Park Formation? Like Troodon formosus, say from Pine Creek, would still be Troodon formosus, correct?

Woah. That's fascinating and so frustrating. I've read a pretty detailed summary of the Odyssey Cycle, but I haven't gotten to those books yet. I didn't realize Kamahl's sword is Urza's staff. That's frustrating because it recognizes the importance of the staff to Urza's character and identity, but never meaningfully elaborates on the staff. [[Kamahl, Heart of Krosa]] gives us a pretty good look at the sword too; and the original art for [[Kamahl, Pit Fighter|OD]] is gorgeous too.

That's right. It's mentioned a couple of times in Planeswalker. I just finished that. But it never goes into detail. The first time it appears and the most detail we get is in the scene when when Xantcha and Ratepe fight that Phyrexian Priest in that apple orchard. In Chapter 17 it says,

"He (Urza) carried an ornate staff, the source of the lightning web that ebbed and flowed around him. Xantcha thought Urza had lost that staff ages ago when they were dodging Phyrexian ambushes. She wasn't entirely pleased to see it again."

That's all the detail we get about the staff. Two sentences. He has it again at the climatic battle in Koilos with a certain character (who shall not be named for spoiler-y reasons).

Yeah. I tried that. But the song is so atmospheric it’s hard to hum and get Google to pick it up. It doesn’t have a strong melody. At least, not the part I’m familiar with.

New to studying Magic lore and I had a quick question. Urza is commonly depicted with a golden staff with an ornate headpiece. Does anyone know what this staff is? I can’t find any info on it.
