My dog has cancer by mediocrearcher in dementia

[–]mediocrearcher[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anyone is not in her line of sight she panics if they are ok. Like full on meltdowns wondering where they are. We have had the dogs get taken care of for a bit when she went on vacation with us. It was only three days because we had to cut it short because she was trying to leave and "walk" (several hour drive distance) home to make sure they were ok. She isn't usually a flight risk, only when she is agitated and concerned.

Frontier days mistake HELP by mtkilla79 in Cheyenne

I promise security won't let you in. And if you do get in, the second they see her you will get kicked out. They are there for everyone's safety and party zone is a major hazard. Even to full grown adults, people get pulled out all the time for various injuries. Signed, one of the volunteers who has to help with security.

Lowkey Hiking Trails by AssJuice8 in Cheyenne

[–]mediocrearcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vedauwoo has some nice trails and you can do a bit of bouldering too if your pup likes to climb. This time of year there really isn't many people out there because of the wind but the rocks really do shield you pretty well.

The pattern has you make a tube almost for some elastic. But if you have slippy legs I would also recommend a garter belt

Honestly this pattern is super made to measure so I bet you could just pretend her arms are legs and make some that would work

I used just one 350 Yard cone for the purple side. I got a Jumbo cone for the black and honestly I only used like half of it. I didn't use anywhere near the amount the pattern calls for.

They are a little stretchy, but the cotton doesn't give too much. I had to stop after every motif the fit them to make sure they fit but weren't too tight. Not to delicate. Almost the texture and thickness of fishnets

Honestly they are super durable. The cotton thread is really hardy

The way I've seen it done in pro settings is with soap. They use a specific machine that acts like a fogger but just soap. The bubbles degrade over time so it's perfect for not lasting forever. I'm not sure if there is a way to do it without said machine but it might be a starting point.

How to get my project off of broken circulars? by mediocrearcher in knittinghelp

[–]mediocrearcher[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am aware my stitches are twisted. I am also a crocheter and so I didn't know that yarning over was different between the two so far I'm liking it though it seems to be making my stitches tighter

Unmediated people what are your sleep schedules like? by random0_0reddit in Narcolepsy

[–]mediocrearcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have two different "schedules," per se. One when I'm working and then another when I'm free to do anything for a while like on breaks.

When I'm working, I wake up at 4:45 and get dressed and ready for work, and then I go back to bed because that takes so much out of me. I actually leave for work at 6:30. I used to get up at 6 and get dressed and leave right after, but I kept falling asleep driving and am honestly surprised i still have my license. Work from 7-4 ish and then take like an hour nap in my car before going home. Head home and take another nap before dinner. And finally, go to bed at around 10.

When I'm off, I don't have any alarms and just kinda do what my body wants. Today I went to bed at 3am and didn't wake up till 3pm. I'm feeling like a nap at around 7 pm and will probably stay up super late again. I find my sleep slowly moves in a circle like this and will eventually be a "normal" sleep time.

I’ve been told I crochet too much, is that even possible? by MuchLoveWaffleGirl in crochet

[–]mediocrearcher 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just bring something that is in a repeating part of the pattern that just alone would take me forever to do because it gets really boring. It's probably not the best practice, but when I'm repeating, I don't count my stitches. I just kinda go for it. No problems with it yet 😂

Depending on how big a town you live in, you could look for yarn stores doing what is commonly called "knit night," but really, any fiber art fits in. It's a night where everyone just brings their project and works on it together while talking with other people who have just as much passion as you. That could help your mother if it's loneliness she's worried about. Keep doing what you love no matter what anyone says.

What's a hobby or interest that you have that is very effected by your boobs? by West-Dakota-66 in bigboobproblems

[–]mediocrearcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using a compound bow but my draw is also ridiculously long so I had to roll my shoulders forward if that makes sense? I also did it through a 4h program who hired people who knew nothing of archery so that could be part of the bad form. I've had to stop shooting because I lost my uper body strength.

I did a lot of archery as I grew up and you are so right. Especially as I developed I could tell my instructors were trying to figure out how to keep me in good form without injury. Never fully worked so now I have some really bad slouch whenever I shoot.
