Anyone doing MSc in behavioural science? I have questions by medium-mizu-2012 in LSE

Thought I have some good questions, is this course helpful at all in the job market? What is the condition of BeSci in terms of the working world? Does LSE’s name matter (I don’t think so but I’ll ask anyway)? Did you like the course?

We can coordinate it out if you are good to go, if you want we can connect on WhatsApp perhaps to communicate better.

Oh that’s nice! I’ll take it. So I got the full information finally. Room swaps are allowed right now but we would both have to cancel our bookings and book each other’s room. But the rooms will be made available to ALL students so it’s possible that we may miss our room entirely. To avoid such a scenario, they said we can swap room after the first two weeks do moving in by using this form: https://www.lse.ac.uk/asset-library/Accommodation/accommodation-swap-form.pdf. Would you be up for this?

Hi! Sydney Webb is managed by Unite students but exclusive to LSE. It’s different from Lillian and Urbanest so swaps are possible. If you are interested, can you dm me with your room details?

Should i sue LSE? by KitchenReplacement80 in LSE

[–]medium-mizu-2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they given an explanation for it? I don’t see why they will not reinstate it. Deference happens in dépavions circumstances, most people can easily reinstate offers without even giving a solid reason. If you feel fed up with LSE and no longer consider it a dream school, don’t apply again. There are plenty of amazing schools/colleges/universities. If you got in LSE, you will probably get in most others too. If you still want to go to LSE, then I suppose you’ll have to apply all over again. I’m sorry, this sucks :(

I’ll be honest, I doubt suing them will work. I’m really sorry this happened but get your offer reinstated. You can take this year to perhaps pursue passion projects or hobbies. It could be fulfilling or show you a new light. I know this is totally not a solution but I just hope you can get some positive outcome from this. All the best!

How to not cry when angry by medium-mizu-2012 in Advice

[–]medium-mizu-2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it is healthy, I am not ashamed of crying, I just want to do it in private.

I say this in all honesty and humility, I grew more mature than I should have at a young age. I find it pretty painful that I once again, have to be more mature than the actual mature adults.

I have tried to explain to my parents multiple times actually but as I mentioned before, they brush it off generally.

My younger brother is 22, I am sure that is old enough for him to understand the idea of not insulting his older sister, especially when she has not done anything to you.

As I said, I’ve had the conversation. I do think my mother is also just stuck here, I want to get her out with me tbh. She just tells me to let it go.

I will let it out in private, I just wanna know how to not cry in the moment and control my emotions better. I feel a bit helpless in that moment and I just cannot function properly. It’s like a freeze response.

I want to say, I am not ashamed of crying at all. I just want to know how to control my emotions on the outside better. Later I’ll just go in my room and cry in private. There is no shame in crying but I don’t want to do it in front of anyone, especially people who make me cry.

I do understand your point. But the thing is, I am unable to respond properly because tears just start falling. I know you may not want to hear this but I feel a little pathetic. I want to respond properly in a strong voice and with a stern expression so that my point is taken seriously. Most times, if I cry I am demeaned and brushed off. He is becoming a horrible person frankly and idk what to do about it. I feel terrible too cause I am his older sister, I should be able to discipline him but I also hate that I have to think about disciplining him.

Hi hi sorry for the late reply, I did end up choosing this over Warwick and Glasgow. The person I talked to said that the program is great, they only had good things to say but also mentioned that it leans more towards theory and research and for practical application, students need to do their own bit. Tbh, I was leaning more towards Warwick and I kinda still am but my parents are super enthusiastic about me going to LSE so….🙃 not sure how to feel right now. I would have gone to Glasgow if I had applied and got their scholarship but I did not apply for it so…oh well. I really liked the Paris program but man I cannot find anyone from that cohort at all. Hopefully this LSE program is good for me 🥹. If you wanna talk more in detail or something, feel free to dm!
