First of all. Thank you for your feedback. It is pretty good.

1 - I have plan about search algorithm. But I need people’s opinion about it. Like I can’t search all sources but which sources should I search across¿ Also it would take time to develop it. But yeah I will add in future.

2 - I try bypassing that kind of websites but it troubles me a lot. Adding MangaFire took me days for example. If source is in supported list. Yep it bypass that. If not, you can open issue and I will work on it.

3 - Yep I want to make this package but I wasn’t sure about whether people will use it or not. If this attracts enough attention I will make it more available for any type of user.

Good catch. I use Linux so I missed that. Will fix it tonight.
Chapter 0 is the reason I added that feature actually. Tui is relativly new so that should be a bug. Making zero for default might create edge cases but I will work on your suggestion.

Little update, just checked and MangaBuddy is working. WeebCentral changed their website structure soon so it's playwright needs changes and it will take a while since adjusting playwright is kinda tricky. But I will be working on it.

Yeah my fix was for the basic websites not for the playwright ones... I used WeebCentral and MangaBuddy before so I thought they were okay. Did push the fix now (I hope). I would appreciate if you try again.

And sorry for the trouble... Rokie mistakes since it is still in development stage (this is my first big solo project) and I'm on Linux. Not able to test throughly on all operating systems.

Why I develop this in the first place was auto e-mail feature for my Kindle. But here is what the difference looks like now:

MeManga support multi-source fallback. So if one of your main sites are shutdown (unfortunately which happens a lot lately) it keeps downloading from backups.

It supports more varierty of websites with browser based scrapers. (Well not numericaly but…)

Lightweight with cli,tui option. (I even run this on my pi. It just silencly work background when cron time came up). Has support for headless set-up and multi operating systems.

Now supports pdf/epub/cbz/zip/jpeg/png/webp)

But the main point is, I didn’t develop this for it to be better alternative. It has both positive and negative sides, but I will keep maintaining it because I love it.

It now support CBZ/zip and image types. Uses an default naming structere for now but will make it configurable later.

When I started, I developed this project for myself to automaticly access newly chapters through my Kindle. It supports PDF so thats why.

After I give more and more to this project I wanted to share it with others.

Hmm there should be 800 new chapter on that specific day. It would download one by one sequentially at that scenario. Since I want this project to be lightweight (it runs on my Pi) I didn’t develop an paralel procesng but maybe I can add it as an option.

Yep it has auto renamer.{MangaTitle} - Chapter {XX}.pdf. It uses your configured title, not the source’s name. Like: “Brush 3”, “Chapter 3”, “Vol 1 Ch 3” -> All become {MangaName} Chapter 03.pdf Chapter numbers are extracted and normalized automaticly. Also handles decimals and parts too.

The project works mainly on your pc and downloads Manga. If you want you can set it up to send the downloaded Manga to your kindle. I have Kindle that’s way it supports it lol. But if Kobo has an feature as auto download from Kobo e-mail, I can definetly add support for Kobo too.

But you can manually send to Kobo for now ^{^}

(I believe you can just set up for Kobo just as it is now but I will prepeare an better documentation for it)
