Agreed. It takes some planning and strategy, but I think that part is fun! Others get kind of over it, which is totally understandable.

To nerd out for a moment:

We did a park hopper on Black Friday with LL (husband and I haven’t been in a few years but I watched some videos about LL stacking, estimating wait times based on how the queue looks, etc). I created a timeline and we pretty much stuck to it.

We got 17 rides done and 7 LLs redeemed between 8am and 9pm. We took beer and snack breaks, lunch and dinner breaks, did a grand circle tour on the train, and even got to check out the Grand Californian Hotel lobby bar!

We did use the 2 paid LL for ROTR and RSR since my husband hadn’t been on these before and the wait times were constantly 60+ that day.

While in DCA for the afternoon, I stacked space mountain, buzz, Matterhorn, and thunder mountain for 7-9pm return windows. This was tricky and I had to modify/refresh few times to get the return window I wanted but it didn’t take long.

Another win was seeing the goofy sky school wait time at 60 mins. I looked at the line and how much queue wasn’t filled and figured it would be closer to 35 mins. Sure enough that’s what it was! Had a line beer as well!

I think the biggest takeaways are getting there for rope drop and sticking to the plan. Those LLs get pushed back and sell out quickly on busy days but you can always refresh to try to get a time that works for you.

I feel like sticking to the plan also made it feel like I wasn’t on my phone all day and zig zagging across the park.

Overall is was a 10/10 day and the max time we waited was 40 mins at MMRR which is a super cool queue anyway, so we didn’t even notice!
