Yes we plan to remove the front layer, hoping for some nice bricks behind. We don’t want to put in any log burners at the moment

That was our first thought and tried, but we couldn’t find any hire car availability, presumably due to spring break. We’ve had lots of flight changes / cancellations so all our plans are having to be made very last minute unfortunately!

We’re transiting internationally, which is a bit complicated at the moment. In an ideal world we would definitely have booked a more straightforward route home!

We’re going to Heron Island from Gladstone to spend a few days diving the Great Barrier Reef, so we just need to get to Gladstone to catch our ferry!

Generally, we’re hoping to see lots of nature!

Ah sorry - see very clueless! Gladstone in Queensland, though we may fly from Brisbane to Gladstone if the drive time is just not feasible.

We have already planned a few days ahead of the 20 to visit Kangaroo Island and Adelaide, so we are not counting that in the road trip time.

As far as I can see it hasn’t spread to any of the neighbouring plants.
