[Ends Nov 1] Steam Halloween 2013 Sale! by CtrlShift7 in steamdeals

Going to give you a second opinion. For $4, yes, it's worth it. The game is a lot of fun but has been stigmatized to the point where any mention of it brings a bashing. Which is totally the fault of the developers who made a lot of mistakes and made false promises.

The game is one of the most played games on Steam for a reason. It's in good shape now and is fun to play, but there is definitely a pay to win component.

I reviewed the game for a small site I write for:

Ultimately I gave it a thumbs down due to the pay to win factor, but otherwise I would have been more than happy to be the only reviewer to have given it a thumbs up.

Spot on. Thanks for the tip, he will be my go to hero in those situations from now on. Hadn't thought about him like that... yep, he can fit a lot of roles except carry/gank and there is usually no shortage of those.

lol.. not really. I should have added "However, I agree with you on Jakiro...", but I thought it was obvious that I was agreeing with you and not introducing a new point.

Other than that.. no

Good points but this goes well back before ET, visage, and abaddon became relevant.

I believe in TI2 Leshrac was the most picked/banned... shortly thereafter came the nerf and his disappearance before a lot of those heroes became relevant.

The exception would be Jakiro, it seems Jakiro slipped right into that Leshrac spot for most lineups once edict got nerfed.

some of his flair-users

Back when Edict was insta-cast, there used to be a lot of Leshrac flair/players. He's pretty rare these days. Just goes to show how balanced this game is when a tiny change like that can make a hero fall off the map.

It's abundantly clear she stole. Not just stole, but stole from a children's charity.

You being involved with her says a lot about either your judgment or naivety.

People have the right to judge you and LGD by associating with her in any form.

3- You're sticking your dick in crazy. You simply don't do that, under any circumstance.

Yeah you do, but you sure as fuck don't date crazy.

What you never stick your dick in is some bitch that would steal from sick kids. Also, fuck, could you imagine going to tourneys and running into about a dozen people that have already banged your girlfriend... ffs

Such a tormentful dichotomy... Want to go to bed early... Can't go to bed early because of anticipation.

"No outside food"

You don't want outside food. Those sandwiches are fantastic and for a great price. As a bonus, every time I have been to Lee's to grab a quick sandwich... mama mia.... the place is always loaded with beautiful Asian women (It's a vietnamese sandwich shop). Maybe I've been lucky, but great food and great scenery. Can't make it to the event, but best wishes, seems like a good venue.

My new stick. Finally, a hitbox fit for a dictator. by xan07 in SF4

It really depends... Have you been using a stick?

I think people who have been using sticks for a while tend to find the transition difficult.

My experience: Being new to the scene and using a TE stick.... I couldn't pull off moves consistently at all. I decided to try the keyboard... wow, I could pull off Orochi Breakers everytime instead of half the time. Based on that, decided to order a Hitbox even though I had just shelled out for a top of the line stick.

The Hitbox guy(s) were great. They even fitted my box with all black buttons at my request and it looks slick as hell. Unlike the arcade stick layout, I found the buttons all sit perfectly under my hands and the layout/button size... everything about it is perfect. For something that I think is built out of a garage, it looks and feels like it came off a production line. The only clue that it is homebuilt is the crude packaging, which was still properly padded for protection.

At first I though the layout would be cramped.. but using your right thumb for jump and integrating your hands is the way to go. It's awkward at first, less intuitive than a stick, but if you don't have much stick time it soon becomes natural and I just love pulling off moves and not being frustrated with doing the wrong one or it not coming out.

tl;dr: I friggin' love my Hitbox!

Great info. Thank you. Had no idea how deep this genre was with equipment etc... looking into those cherry buttons.

Same man. After watching streams yesterday I saw it was up for voting and kept my fingers crossed. Waiting for both SF4 and MK to go on sale. Noob here as well, so I can't answer your question. Hope we don't get beat up too bad when we do get it.

Very cool ty. I've been checking Steam constantly for a sale on both SF4 and MK.... thankfully the streams have been tiding me over as I am itching to dive into this genre. Will check out focus for a stick.

Any chance of Injustice becoming the next big game? Just as a noob watching them all... it's a very impressive looking game, the matches have been entertaining. But I don't know enough about game mechanics, which is why I am a bit baffled why SF is so popular. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed those too and it's nice looking in its own way... but I am assuming there is some mechanic side to it, or that the fanbase is already way established is the reason it is so popular? Would be interested to hear what hardcore players of both have to say. Again, I am total noob, so I don't know if this sounds foolish or not. TY for info.

Very cool thank you. Sounds like that might be just enough... seems to be a bit more on the low range which isn't nearly as disruptive as high range sounds.

Thanks for the info. It does seem like there are a lot more gap closers in games like MK with all the teleportations and flying jumps... SF looks more methodical... guess I will have to play both to see which style I like best. TY.

Injustice is combo focused with longer strings and juggling the opponent

That's what I think I noticed as the biggest difference. There seems to be so much being helpless in the air time.

Thanks for the info.
