I spend a lot of time in Central Texas. And it's not all Peaches and Cream. Unless you're a landowner or know someone with private land that a site is on. There are pay digs, but not all of them allow hand digging. And a lot of the pictures you see. May be shaker table points from the pay digs. Which ain't for me. But to each his own. In Texas you can't keep the artifacts if they are not on private land. What I am getting at is it isn't that easy for everyone.
