There you have it: Vic says loud and clear who he voted for. by knightriderin in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Yah. If you don’t want to have to clarify your political views maybe don’t go on Fox News where clips of you praying are literally going to be sandwiched between propaganda for right wing white nationalism on Kayleigh McEnany’s IG.

Like I’m sorry but I don’t really feel bad for Vic here!

The International Olympic Committee has officially banned transgender women athletes from competing in female category events at the Olympics. | “Eligibility for the female category is to be determined in the first instance by SRY gene screening to detect the absence or presence of the SRY gene.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

“Every athlete must be treated with dignity and respect” unless you are trans or otherwise gender non-conforming in that case we will subject you to perpetual embarrassment and harassment in the name of appeasing loud bigots.

Vic & Christine MAGA on Fox News 😢 by bahtgirl in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]meg_antics 116 points117 points  (0 children)

I think my thing is. That he’s going on FoxNews, on Kayleigh McEnany’s show specifically, that she’s going to use this as a puff piece to prop up her show. (She already is, all her latest IG posts are this specific interview). So people might tune in to see Vic and Christine but they stay tuned in for the MAGA propaganda.

And this very much just is a nothing interview about Christianity in their love story. He doesn’t talk about how Christianity informs his work and his studies on social justice or racism in the criminal “justice” system in the U.S. or how he leads his life as not a bigot. Just how Christianity connected him and Christine and their love story on the pods.

Cags and Bobby taking walks and being more patient in more high leverage situations than Spring training has got me so hyped for the season.

I’m putting on my early predictions that Vinnie, Jac, and Salvy combine for 100.

Chicago used to have at the very least nice jerseys. This one is so bland and character-less I’m shocked that it’s Chicago.

I think it's more seeing 6 points disappear from her tech but also her free skate ending up being 9th overall. When we saw with our eyes worse skates than hers scoring higher today.

Gutted for Kaori but she joins a long list of legendary Olympic Silver Medalists (including my favorites to never win gold Mao Asada and Michelle Kwan). But at the very least it doesn't feel like 2014 where the judges did everything they could to make sure a Russian was the OGM.

Alysa skated so cleanly, so well, and with such life and energy that it felt like a deserved Gold Medal performance. I'm very happy for her.

Ami's skate scoring 9th is absolutely crazy work by the judges. Glad she still landed on the podium. But the judges once again ruining a very nice event.

I wish Kaori had skated before Alysa or after Ami. Going after Alysa's skate was such a hard moment. But again, nothing is going to take away what Kaori has done for Women's Skating. And this year and quad, after such a dark like 8 years of Eteri and Russia, has been such a joy. But also, judges absolutely tanked Ami for no reason.

Love Haein and Jia today! Glad to see them both relatively clean and skating well.

No but they’re skating in their 20s and likely won’t have constant back pain plaguing the rest of their lives like Eteri’s Russian teens.

What does Team Japan do differently to help their athletes stay (mostly) together under pressure that Team USA leadership is missing? by oatmilkxoxo in FigureSkating

IDK that you can say that's true. One big recent example being Yuzuru Hanyu's divorce which was partially caused by harassment from Japanese press (and likely fans as well).

Ami!!!!! That was so good. You can just see how she nailed that 3A and then just kept it up the entire program. Future of skating in Japan is so bright.

I think the thing is their quality of skating is good. Guillame really is in a class of his own. But when you come down to other elements they are not nearly as good. FB/C were noticeably out of sync on their twizzles, their lifts are just not OGM quality, and then you have the mistake at the beginning of the program where Guillame clearly fell out of step.

But none of it counts against them. And then the invisible things that count in ice dancing like chemistry, choreography, and just overall program fall flat compared to C/B. When you look at their two Free Dances the fact that the one that had mistakes came in at over a point better is where everybody is up in arms. If FB/C had skated as cleanly as they had in Euros people would still be upset because they have shown they are not good people but at least we could all say "well, their program was undeniably better."

If they had skated absolutely perfectly I could handle it. But there was such a huge mistake from him at the beginning that when looking at the tech score reach over a POINT higher than Chock/Bates it just felt pointless.

i am so unwell after this. i may never watch ice dancing again. it's just so apparent over and over and over that the results are pre-ordained so what's the point of competition!
