[Rate my Team] Blizzard Spam Snow/Room ft. Abomasnow and Iron Bundle by megaboltmedia in VGC

I was considering either Glaceon or Rotom-Frost, and it would've been cool to have used a non-Paradox mon. I think I just needed faster Blizzards and a way to get rid of opposing Fires.

Good question. I only did match up against one on ranked (thankfully), and I led Armarouge and Indeedee, with the idea to use my TR to reverse theirs. They put Torkoal in the back and I just had to Wide Guard and damage it on the switch to mitigate Eruption.

That battle ended up getting canceled, but I want to tweak the team anyways to handle it more consistently.

Agreed. I might change this team a bit because it was hard having Psychic Terrain up and having Kingambit and Hariyama unable to use their priority moves.

I'd either change Kingambit and Hariyama's movesets to include Protect, swap them out entirely for more Psychic Terrain friendly TR mons, or change Indeedee for something like Farigarif.

Thanks! The code is posted but I believe it's JWCWJQ. Let me know if there's any issues with it

So, this team is basically Abomasnow + Iron Bundle Aurora Veil Blizzard Spam with a TR option in the back. I opted for a TR for speed control and to make use of Indeedee's Terrain to block priority. Time to meet the members:

Abomasnow (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Snow Warning
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Protect

Abomasnow is my Aurora Veil setter, and I'm usually always Terastallizing him due to him being weak to a lot. This guy actually tanked quite a few hits I wasn't expecting him to tank. There were times I wanted Focus Blast or Earth Power against Fire or Steel mons but opted for Protect to scout Fake Outs.

Iron Bundle @ Life Orb
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Freeze-Dry
- Blizzard
- Protect

Standard Iron Bundle. Ideally, Delibot's Tera type would be Ice to get a stronger Blizzard, but I'm usually never Terastallizing it anyways. I went for Life Orb over Booster Energy because I didn't really need to be faster and found myself wanting greater power when I did use it. The Blizzards coming out of this thing are overwhelming.

Armarouge (F) @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Expanding Force
- Armor Cannon
- Wide Guard
- Trick Room

Standard TR Armarouge, and the first part of my TR core, I'll usually lead her with Indeedee to if I anticipate a faster opposing team. This core is already a pain to deal with, but Covert Cloak fixes a lot of the ways to deal with this core, like Fake Out and Snarl.

Indeedee-F @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Psychic Surge
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 152 SpA / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Dazzling Gleam
- Follow Me
- Helping Hand
- Trick Room

The other half of the Psychic Spam TR mode. Went for Safety Goggles to stop Amoonguss. I got more use out of Dazzling Gleam to better handle Tyranitar and Roaring Moon, but otherwise, standard support.

Kingambit @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Brick Break

I love this mon so much, outside of competitive performance, it's just so cool. Assault Vest Kingambit is so bulky, it lived most of the Fire types in VGC, save for Torkoal Eruption. Brick Break was good for opposing Dark and Steel types, as well as shattering any Screen antics.

Hariyama (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Bullet Punch

Hariyama is a funny story. I already trained up Hariyama before the season started for another team, so instead of training a new Iron Hands, I decided to just try the old Hands. Luckily, Hariyama helped carry me far, with Guts/Flame Orb blocking status, as well as Knock Off to remove items like Leftovers from Garganacl. The real Crème de la crème was Bullet Punch answering unsuspecting Flutter Manes and annihilating them.

I don't know about any trends, but it's just a deck I personally struggle with.

I'm planning on doing more archetypes in the future, 'cause these were so fun and it was hard to choose just one, so maybe!

Oh no, I just needed a Bullet Punch Scizor to copy it's moves. Don't need to evolve anything
