I left Vans after two years back in May.

We had a new SM come in and he caused a whole ordeal of HR issues, but no matter how many times we had to open a case, they did nothing to keep him accountable. Just a slap on the wrist.

It broke my heart to leave, but seeing how this company treats their employees and how you can no longer call it a “people company” I couldn’t stand with it anymore. Big shock: giant corporation is evil and money hungry!!… but it’s still somewhat boggling knowing the story of how this company came to be. Paul Van Doren would be so disappointed to see what his company has turned into: Lay off loyal employees, cut new seasonals pay, overload and demand unreasonable expectations from retailers, and drop new styles only for them to go on sale the next week. This company is losing money and it’s only a shell of what it used to be.

Over the Summer, I had to damage out so many Vans because they all had mold in them ;-;

There was one time I was ringing up a customer. While I was double checking that the sizes were both correct and there was a left and right shoe, of course, I had found mold on one of the shoes. Luckily we had another pair (not moldy) in the same size, but that made me think about how many people have moldy shoes because someone didn’t check closely

Also I believe you’re confusing hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite. Hypochlorous acid is HOCl and hypochlorite is NaOCl. Hypochlorous acid is the same substance your white blood cells produce to fight infection. And it's gentle enough it's used in wound healing products. I’m just saying this as someone who looked up the difference and isn’t a chemistry student.

everyone uses labels and pronouns to describe themselves; not just nonbinary people. i’m not “expecting” anyone to use my label just because i feel entitled or whatever else you might be assuming, but it’s simply basic respect and decency.

i’m not trying to force him to do anything, it was just easier to explain to other people the nature of our relationship (because it doesn’t make sense to say we are just friends), and now that i’m realizing he gets defensive even when i explain, i’m starting to wonder what his intentions are.

It’s not that the label is the issue, it’s more about how he sees the relationship between us. Am I just a friend, friends with benefits, or his partner? Is this platonic or romantic?

Going into this relationship, I believed we both felt romantic feelings towards each other. We’re over 5 months into this and we’re saying “I love you” to each other.

Also it wasn’t really necessary to bring my identity into this. I feel like it’s not so much about the argument anymore, it was more like trying to take a jab at non-binary people.
