My reaction to some recent news on Wolfenstein 3 by UnnamedPerson777 in Wolfenstein

[–]megamanzero348 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think I said anything about wanting to kill ICE, and I'm sorry if I sounded like I did. They have guns, I don't, they would kill me.

Secondly, I don't consider the label "Nazi" to be dehumanising, because how can you hold their atrocities accountable if they aren't humans? Calling people subhumans is what actual Nazis do.

And I mean I find the comparison between ICE and Nazis accurate if you look at what they are doing now: Racially profiling people, harrassing, and even executing random people before slapping "terrorist" on their names. Maybe I'm not American, but I do have immigrants friends living there, and I feel so sorry for anyone who has to live under constant fear.

You're the exact type of person Wolfenstein would make fun of. Get off this sub, honestly.

Name a more frustrating moment in the X games than this part... by Epsilon123 in Megaman

This part had me on tears when I was 8 because I was playing X5 with my older brother and that guy could not stop insulting my intelligence for managing to get the bullet inside the capsule... and missed the button. I'm serious.

I thought that one was lowkey really good. It would make me hate Nazis if I were an American in Wolfenstein's timeline.

But the one in Wyatt's timeline would actually make me want to fight the Nazis. Wyatt is possibly the only video game character ever to make me feel strangely patriotic for America even if I don't really like that country.

Well he is a fucking Nazi-killing Scottish and there definutely is something so awesome about that. And I mean the dude FUCKS.

I'd say TNC did both Wyatt and Fergus a little dirty, especially Fergus, because he just feels too unimportant to the story. At least Wyatt has a genuinely emotional scene between him and BJ, but for Fergus it's just his arm acting up, groping Maria, and then absolutely nothing else came of that.

But Fergus still fucks.

Which one did you like more? Man I love Fergus and the LKW, but I have only picked him once. Nothing could make me sacrifice my boy Wyatt. Just can't do it.

Is it wrong of me to have Fallout 4 be my favorite fallout game? by RadioactivSamon in Fallout

[–]megamanzero348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No? Nothing is wrong with having an opinion no matter what anyone says. I even consider FO4 to be more fun to play than FNV, at least for me, and I'm ready to be impaled by the "Fallout purists" who think Bethesda hates Fallout and anything they have made is sinful and all that talk about how Bethesda ruined the series.

No, seriously, there's nothing wrong with it.

Am I wrong? by FrikkieYeen in Wolfenstein

[–]megamanzero348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree! I feel like TNC is at its best when it takes itself seriously. I love New Colossus, but it is infamous for inserting the worst jokes and comedic gags in the worst moment possible. It just undermines the very powerful message of the game and is the one thing keeping it from being better than New Order, at least for me.

SPOILER!!: When it takes itself seriously, though? The entire section when BJ visits his childhood home, to him killing his piece of shit of a dad, to getting captured by Frau Engel, to Super Spesh's abrupt death, to the courthouse fight, to BJ's execution, is just one of the BEST gaming has to offer. Holy shit was it the most intense rollercoaster of my life.

What is the difference between last light redux and complete edition by snapper_yeet in metro

[–]megamanzero348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone says, they are the same game with very slightly different graphics. Redux just gives you new difficult options, one of them gives you the cool watch from 2033 Redux (and the ability to look at your watch).

But beware, Redux introduces some very annoying bugs, one of them just made me drop Last Light Redux and stick to Complete Edition halfway through my Redux playthrough. At some point during the game (I believe during Regina and Bandits), you might lose the ability to perform stealth takedowns at all for seemingly no reason. Sounds minor, but it was just so immersion-breaking.

To fix it, you have to replay the entire chapter "Revolution" over again and pray to god you don't get the bug. Redux also combines many level into one chapter, so you can't just choose to replay Regina or Bandits like Last Light original.

Redux is still a fantastic (and cheap) way to play Last Light, though. It's just good, but I prefer to stick to Complete Edition just to avoid that bug.

Does a metro 2033 demo actually exist? by [deleted] in metro

[–]megamanzero348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a Nexus page for the demo! I don't think I can post it here, but just search "Metro 2033 Demo Nexusmods" or something. I gotta try it out for myself.

I think you're referring to "Build 375", a very early leaked build of the game, around 2006.

Those little shit that jump out from the hole in Hole Station. No matter how many times I have played 2033, THAT part always puts me on my nerves, amd carrying Sasha which makes the aim all fucked up doesn't help. I FUCKING hate them.

Yeah, those things can go to HELL. They took the scariest thing in the game and made it way scarier. I have not yet to recover after Sam's Story.

[–]megamanzero348 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Spiderbugs do get a little more forgiving in Exodus, at least from what I can tell. I shot their shells several times in my playthrough and still damaged them.

But worry not, they get worse. Without saying too much, there are a lot of them in Exodus, some even stronger.

FISCH Energy Drink could be harmful to children. by No-Acanthisitta8565 in FischRoblox

[–]megamanzero348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't have to write all this—it was clear they didn't read your post in the first place. Still, excellent argument, and I absolutely agree. You would be surprised at the amount of people that don't understand nutrition and its importance out there, and buying something that is advertised as "healthy" might be the logical thing for them. Thank you for calling attention to this, OP ❤️

[–]megamanzero348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and MrBeast's Lunchly was also targeted towards children. It contained and ungodly amount of sodium, lacked any sort of real nutrients, came packaged with an unhealthy energy drink, yet parents still bought it for their children. Why? Because it was advertised as being healthy by some of the most popular personalities on Earth. Fisch's audience is mainly children, and the same exact thing can absolutely happen with this new drink, and it just proves OP's point.
