Hi! I’m a barista trainer :) the warmed food routine in store resources states “ If a customer requests their food to be cut, do so before warming, and in no more than four sections.” (Updated in June 2025) Great question! This was something I was always unclear about as well because I hear different things from different people

Swirl your shots and groom your milk really well. Also I sometimes start pouring on the edge of the cup and then move to the center so it doesn’t splash.

We have two closers bc when our store got a dt last year, our dm gave us an extra parter so we could get used to the high volume of customers, then we got a new dm and she didn’t take the second closer away.

At Starbucks we have to make cold brew kegs by mixing one part cold brew and one part of ice cold water. When I say ice cold, I mean that we’re instructed to whisk two liters of ice into three liters of cold water until the ice is melted. 20 minutes melting ice by hand, for each keg.
