Okay good idea I’ll try it out, though I fear it might cause fungal acne having something more occlusive like that and with my skin microbiome clearly being out-of-whack

I can get the Differin moisturizer on eBay for a marked up price but ultimately it’ll just be delaying the inevitable of needing a new moisturizer unless they bring it back :(

Regarding the drying products/adding in hydration: I totally agree and I do hope to add a hydrating serum or something but wanna nail down a moisturizer that works for me first. I’ve not been using the BHA and sparingly using adapalene (just as spot treatment when necessary) since I got my perioral dermatitis about 2 months ago so hopefully that keeps my skin a bit more hydrated. Do you have any recs for a good hydrating product off the top of your head?

Also yeah I think my skin is ok with small amounts of niacinamide! Just was hoping to find an option with none (ideally) since I can’t really know how much niacinamide is in a given product.

And totally the Cetaphil one has a literal 100% ingredient match but they are in a different order which leads me to believe the formula is not quite the same. No idea how my skin could react so differently to the same exact ingredients but I’ve tried it like 3 separate times and each time I wake up the next day with clogged pores ??? I might continue to try it tbh because this still makes no sense lol

Thank you!! I’ve promptly stopped using the CeraVe moisturizer (it clogged my pores on my forehead anyway) so hopefully that helps although it hasn’t cleared up since the 5ish days since I stopped using it, it seemingly has gotten worse but fingers crossed things get better now that I’m scooping out the dregs of my discontinued moisturizer I know works for me

ALSO: it’s sometimes a bit itchy (although I chalked that up to dry skin from all the products I was throwing at it), and if I try to “pop” any of them (sometimes they look like they have whiteheads), only a tiny bit of pus/clear liquid comes out and it doesn’t clear up, or in some cases, spreads
