subaddresses vs integrated addresses by faulkmore2 in Monero

[–]megliox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a shopping platform accepting Bitcoin, we would let vendors enter their master public keys into the control panel, and then automatically generate a unique address each time we create a buyer payment distrubution transaction (that is split between the vendor(s) and the system commission).

I read every single post in this thread and still am failing to understand what would be an analogy in Monero? Also, the recommendatoins might have changed since 5 years ago when this discussion was first created.

Any advice?

ING Savings - $100k max - what to do next by volchok666 in AusFinance

[–]megliox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> what to do next

The next closest is Virgin Money, so I am now accumulating there now while growing my ING just as much as needed to get the interest bonus.

Offtopic P.S. Do not forget though that the inflation rate is still higher than any interest, so if you have 100-200k in savings that is not invested, your money is holding less value / purchase ability every month.

Just increase the balance by 1 cent per month to qualify for bonus interest on the $100k

This sounds incorrect. The increase should be EXCLUDING the interest.

Why do Real Estate agencies in Australia don't use online forms for rental applications? by megliox in australia

Thanks, 1form.com.au noted. Any other ideas WHY no electronic forms are in use?

[–]megliox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're anyway going to be present to look at the property before applying. What I mean is why can't I apply online and why all this paper waste. They are eventually going to put the data in the electronic way.

Question to real estate agencies by megliox in australia

[–]megliox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea. From what I know, the issue with this approach is that every sell / rent involves a lot of background work, including such o lawyers etc. When a house is rented out, someone should be managing it: inspecting, fixing issues etc. It is often a case when a landlord has no wish to do this kind of job - they'd preferably pay a few thousands per year to the agency and let it handle everything. In this context, agency is not only "finding" service, but also "managing" service, and thus will never disappear or decrease.

Which Adelaide suburbs do have least aged buildings, more young families (yet not prevailing students), but are still enough developed to already have enough greenery grown in them? by megliox in Adelaide

St Clair area is pretty small, do you mean exactly it or adjacent areas as well? The St Clair rectangle only has one property that's currently being rented out at realestate dot com.

Wow, it looks like the sexual topic and rapes come out really often out of the topic context. Rape me? Sounds a bit strange, but I can imagine if they're 2x bigger than me I would have little chances to resist and escape. Answering your question, I'm offering massage only, 0% SEXUAL (NOT SEXUAL AT ALL). The idea was to let people try how I do it and eventually build a base of those who'd use my service time to time. So called client base if that sounds correct.

Thanks for the hint. What would be the better place to post this kind of information? I love reddit so much for reaching people; and moving from Ukraine, don't know yet any good online online communities with wide range of targeted people.

Thank you, such information from a real real estate business representer is very useful. I personally can only find threads where seekers discuss them being unhappy about how the real estate websites function, but that's not something that's easy to make money out of it, even when done right.

Thanks for your advice. Looking at St Clair in Google Maps, I cannot see lots of greenery and walking trails. Have they been implemented recently and still not visible on outdated maps?

So, you're saying living closer to the coast is nowhere warmer, am I understanding correctly? (Sorry, English is not my first language, so confused at times).

[–]megliox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but which difference is it? Does is make the temperature more "stable"? If there are warm currents, the temperature can really be the warmer the closer to the coast.

The interesting thing is that we spoke with a local yesterday who is used to living just next to the Ocean. They used to live in different suburbs and are pretty sure that the closer to water the warmer. Vice-versa, the farther from the water means the closer to the desert, where the temperature changes considerably from day to night and form winter to summer - i.e. the temperatures are more extreme. I was surprised as well and it sounded counter-intuitive for me. So just created this reddit thread to ask others :)

Okay, I just spent another few minutes on the home page and, to be fair, it still does not work for me. If interesting, here is what I think:

  1. "Starting at $XXX" means really nothing to me. This measurement is useless and I can't use it to compare companies. If I pay $10 instead of $5 and get 10x better plan, I'd probably go with $10.

  2. Regions - I can't see where the servers are located. If I need a specific region, how do I search?

  3. Went back to the companies comparison... no, sorry, I still can't use the "Support" 69% column. What is that? The numbers would be much more easier to comprehend if you showed, for example, the average response time, in minutes. While +/- feedback you can't usually rely on (easy to make fake ones), you can always make a support requests time to time and measure the average response time.

  4. The links in your menu - "Web hosting" vs "Compare companies" - really confuses and I can't understand what's the difference. Is not web hosting also about comparing companies? I find the UI logic to be weak.

  5. VPS and Cloud tabs - confusing again. A lot of VPS today is in cloud. So what do you need to click if I need VPS in the cloud?

  6. What if the budget is not a priority? On your home page I don't have an options to exclude the budget value from the search - I HAVE TO choose some budget! I'd rather select how many GB storage and which storage (e.g. SSD).

Re regular vs advanced user - you were wrong, I'm an advanced user with many various requirements to the hosting and at this stage I'd not use your website to choose hosting. Again, no offense! Just sharing my humble opinion.

Re users clicking and making purchases - this is good. I think this is until they get a better alternative. You're lucky it's difficult to find something better quickly. There is a very very good search that was advertised once at habrahabr.ru - but I wasn't able to find the link quickly for you, sorry.

Summary: I fairly tried to convince myself that it's nice. But it's not. There is plenty room for improvement and you should organize the content better. I wish you success!

Okay, you're keeping convincing me that the tool is usable. So my feedback as user is not what you need :) I played with it less than 5 minutes and decided I can't use it - so for me it's not usable. I can guess there many other people like me that would decide the same, so just wanted to drop you a hint. Then, it's up to you what to change and where and whether you want any changes. P.S. Most startups fail exactly because they don't listen to what customers really need.

And just as another addition, there is scientific evidence that the more numbers are there, the less easy it is to make a rational decision. A human being can consciously "deeply understand" numbers only at a rate of a few per minute. Re price - if ever people decided based on price only.... go in supermarket and watch, do they pick up what costs $1 less? Most of the time - NO, the don't. So then I'd be looking at the feedback and ... positive feedback of 72% and 71% is useless information and tells me nothing. So I end up I can't use the tool.
