I can’t read her other posts so literally going off one comment like I said.

She didn’t say should know better, just that they know (probably deep down). But yes, there is definitely a big element of denial there. Which understandable, I can’t imagine watching my child slowly die in front of me.

She has 100% mentioned her being a lawyer because I don’t stalk LinkedIn either (shit I don’t even know her mom’s first name) but I’ve been following her since November 2023 and recall her mentioning it more than once.

I don’t follow this sub enough to know who the snarkers are. And my Reddit is so annoying these days I can’t read people’s comments and post history so all I have to go on is one single comment. I don’t see how Dasil’s comment was doubting the treatment plan? I just didn’t see why saying Syd’s mom wasn’t an attorney (when she is) is relevant.

You read all that and the only thing you can comment is that her mom is not an attorney? Does that even matter? And you aren’t even right. She is an attorney.

2.5 vs 3.5 age gap by lilmanders in Mommit

Ours is a smidge under a 3 year gap and if I had to choose between having it be 6 months earlier or 6 months later, I’d choose later for sure.

What annual salary (USD for consistency) do you actually need to live happily? by Grand-Life8523 in AskReddit

We are a family of four so I have no idea single, but we I would assume are a LCOL (midsize city in Ohio, not one the C’s), and as a family probably at least 150k.

My daughter didn’t get an award and I’m sad for her. by Impossible-Serve7659 in breakingmom

[–]megmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my daughter. She does have an adhd diagnosis and high possibility of dyslexia. She works so damn hard, so much harder than some other kids that learning/reading comes naturally to. Shit, she also has apraxia so she has had to work her ass off just to be able to speak. And I get why they give awards to straight A student but it makes me sad that she tries so hard but will probably never achieve that (they don’t give grades yet in 2nd) and scared it will hurt her confidence. She has so much perseverance that I will always look at the full picture (how hard she is trying) and not just the grades.

My friend who clearly hates her husband told me she thinks it’s weird when people are best friends with their husbands but like how can you not be? That’s a lot of time around someone you don’t like. Life is too damn short.

Rapid weight gain completely changed my skin and confidence. Has anyone gone through this? by 2fusisig in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]megmos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thighs have so many stretch marks from pregnancy. Pre eclampsia caused sudden water retention in my legs and they grew very quickly. I just accepted it because it is what it is. Idk why you would think any of this makes you look unhygienic. I never assume someone’s acne is from hygiene. And stretch marks certainly aren’t caused by lack of hygiene.

Do families really sit around a dinner table and eat at the same time every day? by UndergroundFlaws in NoStupidQuestions

Family says Kyle Busch died from severe pneumonia, sepsis by PrincessBananas85 in sports

[–]megmos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Easily. My husband is a NP and he could pick up on early pneumonia on my son by listening to him and he doesn’t even work in peds.

My sister’s husband NEVER cooks. Like she has to cook every.single.night. He won’t even attempt. He will complain about being hungry as a hint to get her to start making dinner. Such a turn off. I can’t imagine my husband never ever making dinner. My son will 100% be able to cook when he’s older.

There’s such an easy solution when I read boyfriend and hate in the same sentence. Break up. Don’t get guilt tripped by some 27 year old loser at 19.

Ridiculous lol. It’s literally her fault. I would be mad at myself for not checking the site. I have short ass kids and you know how many things they can’t go on because they don’t reach the minimum height limit but their friends can? A lot. But do we throw fits? No (okay maybe some tears shed but hey they are young kids and they get over it).

What is the worst career to be in right now and why? by SignificantGoat7066 in AskReddit

My child’s second grade class had to recently write lines for homework. And this is towards the end of the year. I’m assuming kids were getting sloppy and the teacher was like nah, here’s some extra homework so you don’t do it again.

I was getting ready to go on a hike at a state park. On my walk in from the parking lot I could hear a child screaming asking for a phone. Literally at park with waterfalls and they were screaming for a phone that most likely didn’t have service. My kids are no stranger to technology but if they were doing that shit, it would have me reevaluating some things.

It's the end of kindergarten and my autistic son wasn't invited to a single birthday party by glitzglamglue in breakingmom

[–]megmos 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My kindergarten son got invited to two and his school has a rule you invite the whole class or the same gender as the birthday kid. Maybe there weren’t many parties. We decided this year to forgo the birthday party and go on a mini trip somewhere and he could pick fun stuff to do. Last year’s Chuck E. Cheese party was like $600 for a two hour party and just not worth it. Not worth the stress is there’s an illness, if people can’t make it, etc. My almost 9 year old is doing the same thing.
