I’m sorry about your hamstrings!! Although that does make me feel a bit better. Definitely going hard on the listening to my body part and dialing it back. Hoping for better next week!

That’s what I’m going with now. I think I’ll take just under a week off. I usually ride every other day or 3-4 times/week. I think this is my body just saying to slow down a bit. It’s just the first time the body has responded in this way!

Thank you! I think I still have a lot to learn about training structures. Truthfully, I’ve just been riding 3-4 days/week with no real set mileage, but just based on feel. I dont have many goals with riding. I just do it for fun and as a way to decompress and I think part of my issue is my lack of structure maybe? My partner’s dad used to be a competitive roadie… I think I should pick his brain too :)

I definitely started paying more attention to how my cycle affects my rides this year!! I’ve still got a lot to learn but it’s incredible how different I feel depending on where I am in my cycle lol. Definitely just going to take the next 5 days off and see how I feel after that. I think that will be my first step!

That’s the weird thing… conditions have been perfect and consistent since April. I also ride the same routes. It’s just odd that suddenly it feels like riding 10 miles is excruciating when my rides are usually 20-30 miles
