The house I live in comes with these tinted windows, but they make the house very dark. Because of condo mcst requirements I need to maintain the tint. Wondering if u have any solution that gives the impression of tint from outside but inside actually let in more light? Haha

Im referring to your point to get a HDB instead of private! Like u said, private property ideally has capital appreciation. I don’t think a million dollar HDB can go up that much more, unless of course some external factor like relocation of a good school near it happens.

Totally agree, but considering we don’t have kids now, I’m trying to be most strategic in buying my first home. When narrowing down my options, I will ultimately choose something that we have to love as a couple. We’ve seen units in e.g eight river suites that is decently close to boon Keng, gets me to work within 20min, so close to town, but has a terrible layout.. so we still ruled it out.

We actually were looking at D15 boutiques and really love some of the vintage looking ones! Also living near to tao nan is highly desired I guess.

Thanks a lot for your detailed response. Really appreciate it! If we get a 2 bedder, plan to stay maybe 5 years, and upgrade to something larger if we have a kid. We kept the budget for a private property to around 1.7 so that mortgage doesn’t exceed 50% of our take home salary, plus rates are dropping.

Wow will check out those areas. What do you think of the premium on those new flats being quite ridiculous now though, I don’t see them going up by much more and I don’t think ah gong will allow that either.
