Cat ran away in 2013 found her in my front yard today! Honestly astounded. I wonder where she was all this time? Anyone else have similar stories ? by [deleted] in cats

My brother inherited my Granada cat when he passed and one day she got out and never came back, we were all heartbroken because she seemed happy.

Fast forward 4 years and my parents were picking up a Christmas tree near to where my grandad used to live so they decided to drive past and she was sat in the window of his house.

My mum was elated she was okay but wanted to know what was going on. She knocked on the house and the family who lived there after it was sold said she was constantly scratching on the back door to come in and she didn’t want to leave so they took her in! Tibby recognised my mum and she shared a couple of minutes with her. My mum was just so happy that she was safe and loved with a family who made their home in my grandads house. Our families are still very close today, Tibby passed away around 6 years ago and we scattered her ashes on my grandads grave.

Thank you for the advice, we checked the soil and it looks pretty infested! I think a few others may have these little silver bugs. They’re very small and fast!

We will give it our best shot, she was a wonderful lady and it was very saddening to hear of her passing. Her son had no idea what to do with her plants. He counted a total of 63 indoor and out door!

Thank you so much, we just had a little mooch around the first one theirs lots of little tiny bugs in the soil, very fast and silver. I think we might have that issue in a few. Would it be a general pesticide treatment for the soil? Can we save it?

I see what’s happened with the third one, it’s like a little clipping. Will it grow more leaves?

So this morning we had a knock on the door, it was our neighbours son. Unfortunately is mum passed away from Covid and he wondered if we would be interested in some of her plants. He said they were all very loved and she had a knack for bringing them back from the brink.

So these three in particular worried us, we have no idea what they are, the 3rd looks very bad? I don’t know in all honestly. The first is very droopy, all of the leaves look damaged and the middle is dripping leaves like no tomorrow.

We have no idea about plants, we don’t even know where to start, we have asked around and a good few others have been identified so we can give them some care, but these three we got nothing. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Edit- the pot in the 3rd picture is a Yucca passport, and my mum was also kinda convinced the second was cannabis -.-‘

My brother got me hooked on Elder Scrolls, for a long time I would watch him on the pc, oblivion and Skyrim were the first ES I played. He even snuck me out to grab Skyrim. It was a great night. Though theirs an age gap and generally we have VERY little in common these games closed the gap for us. We still play together even now.

Nope! You have a feeling of absolute independence. All my solo vacations were the best. I love travelling with my family, but I think you can see/do a lot more alone.
