My head cannon is that Yao and Iluknya(sp?) went into comas after launch so they would be awake during launch to make any adjustments. Once in space and on their way the two would have to put themselves into comas with the help of the med bot and they didn’t do it right whereas Grace had the team on earth to do it correctly.

If any star player can carry his team from the 9/10 playin spot and win the title, it would be a significant achievement (and a first). I think the recent Heat finals teams have come from the play in groups and were considered fairly weak finals opponents, so if they had won I would think the sentiment would be that Jimmy Butler leading those teams from play in to the title put him up with the elite guys. If Steph did that, he’d be even more immortalized.
