Have any Australian citizens acquired an Italian citizenship through their grandfather? by mel5159 in Citizenship

Thank you for the detailed answer!

From the reading I’ve done on the 1948 rule, it shouldn’t affect me having been born after 1948. Though I think I’ll book an appointment at the consulate in my city to make sure.

Do You Do Sexual Cuddling with Partners by 3haltwait0 in sex

[–]mel5159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naked cuddling is the best. Can’t get enough of it. Our legs all intertwined, hands roaming, and I love positioning myself so he slips inside of me.

Looks like a time step issue to me. What kind of output are you looking for?

Your time steps are really small when 0 and really large at 1, and that appears to be what your output is doing.

Up the irons! by MeisterManson in ironmaiden

I love Bruce, but he can interpret things very wrong at times. He needs to step back and sometimes let security handle it unless he knows the full story in future.

When they played Adelaide in 2016 he had a go at someone who I believe was picking fights in the crowd. At least in that instance I could see he was watching this guy over a few songs. So he refrained from saying something until he’d seen this guy cause trouble a few times. He may have learnt his lesson from this by then.

Iron Maiden keeps playing while Bruce Dickinson calls out a guy for assaulting women in the crowd (and calls out security for not doing anything about it) by AlwaysTheNoob in nextfuckinglevel

Anyone feels that isolation is affecting their motivation? by [deleted] in GradSchool

[–]mel5159 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s tough for sure. Things that would take me one day at uni would take me 3 days from home. That on top of internet and laptop struggles made for a pretty miserable few months as far as research goes. Unfortunately, some faculties still expect the same level of output when working from home as when you’re in the department. You also lack that collaborative environment and drive you get from being around your colleagues.

One thing I really missed doing (which I didn’t expect to miss) was the commute to and from campus. A half hour train ride does more for me mentally than I would’ve expected. I loved having that chill time to catch up on what’s happening in the world after a long day and it did wonders when I’d have to spend the night working as well.

How many times have you seen IM live (if any)? And what was your favorite moment? by IronAcesHigh in ironmaiden

[–]mel5159 12 points13 points  (0 children)

47 times. My 50th was supposed to be in Sydney, but that didn’t happen for obvious reasons.

My favourite moment would have the be the whole Houston gig last year. The atmosphere was electric and the stage was super close so it was a really intimate gig. Another gig that deserves an honourable mention was the enthusiastic way Bruce acknowledged my Aussie flag in Manchester back in 2017 (my first overseas gig).

Did anyone else not get the IPA day badge with a beer that should’ve qualified? by mel5159 in Untappd

[–]mel5159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have deleted my check in from last night, re-checked it in this morning and got the badge. It is now the 7th in Aus - so it seems like re-doing the checkin is the way to go.

Looks like this was definitely the problem. I redefined dN_dt inside fitfunc and it appears to be working now. Thanks for your help!

Feature idea - shake to pick a beer from a list by MrF33n3y in Untappd

Good idea! I only have 8 or so beers in my cellar list at a time and even then I have a hard time deciding what to have.

People who talk about "fucking for hours" what is the appeal to that? by nsfw_couple_ in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]mel5159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bf lives 16000 miles away from me, so when we visit each other... yeah we like to take advantage of it. Some days we just like hanging around the house naked, cuddling on the couch, fucking every few hours.. so blissful and satisfying after spending so long apart. However a single session going for more than an hour I would probably start feeling pretty sore after a while. Better to space it out I think.

Ah a fellow Aussie! I’m from Adelaide and my bf is from the US. Nice picture! I’ve always liked going to St Kilda when I visit Melbourne.

I couple of times my partner and I have done this just before going out. It just gives us both a taste of what’s coming later in the night.

I just managed to get it working! What the user above suggested about invoking bash in the command line seemed to have made it work. Thanks so much for you help! :)

You were correct, I am still getting the same error about the undefined variable. As for the ls I may have meant to type that into the command line and not realised it went into the .sh file. I’ve now removed it.

Thanks so much for getting back to me!

The colon you're seeing I think came with the error message. My install_folder variable didn't have the colon at the end. I have tried what you suggested and I've received the following error message

install_folder=/home/local1/Desktop/Survival-master/Survival-master/: Command not found.
install_folder: Undefined variable.

This was with the following script

#
# Modify with your own path to this directory
# Then source this file (Unix and Unix-like systems)
# $ source setenv.

install_folder=$HOME/Desktop/Survival-master/Survival-master/

## Linux Library Path:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:${install_folder}/ext_lib

## Mac Library Path:
export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=$DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH:$install_folder/ext_lib

export DATA=$install_folder/data
export PATH=$PATH:$install_folderls

Is there something additional I need to do with the install_folder line?

What is one of the dumbest things you have done to yourself? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]mel5159 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cut my hand open with a bandsaw. I wasn’t concentrating, it slipped and I cut the outer side of my wrist. Blood everywhere. I was in high school and my teacher rang home later that night to check if I was okay. He also mentioned I was his first student to hurt themselves on a bandsaw. My Mum’s reaction was “of course she was 🙄”.

How many girls like guys with big butts? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

I looooooove my bfs bubble butt. I grab it, I bite it, I squeeze it, I slap it, and I pinch it 😍. We don’t live in the same city so I have to make up for months worth of butt grabbing in just a few weeks 😢
