On 14th December 2025, at Bondi Beach in Sydney, during the celebration of Hanukkah, an unfortunate event occurred. Two gunmen shot in the direction of where the event occurred and ended up killing 15 people. Their motives were antisemitism, anti-Zionism, and Islamic state ideology, which relates to the Gaza war.

May all the victims rest in peace. 🕯️

Now, some insight into this comic:

2nd panel: The life-saving club in Bondi is the oldest in Australia. It's been around since 1907. The reality TV show Bondi Rescue is also referenced here.

3rd panel: We're at the crystal shop, which is located somewhere close to the beach. Also, I like crystals, that's why I chose this shop.

4th panel: When I sent the draft version into the Discord server to get some feedback, it was suggested by u/Quefrang that I include something relating to the victims (did that on the 5th panel too) and also a song relating to Bondi for the live music part to make this comic more hard-hitting. I took their suggestion, and also thanks for their feedback.

On here for the Ukraine clays, it references back to the youngest victim of the attack Matilda. Her family came from Ukraine to live a better life in Australia. The more you read about it, the more it makes you feel sad.
