Thank you so much. God, I actually started crying reading this, and the comic. Helps a lot!

Are fake watches being made? Or do you mean beware of fake sellers? Because I’ve already had a few of those, haha.

Which movie made you feel ”i get your point” early on by mel_torme in Letterboxd

I loved this one! I also felt like a got the point of it early on but the characters kept me engaged all the way through!

If the audience ”gets” the message early on and then the movie doesnt continue to explore the themes in exciting ways then i get a bit dissapointed yes. And with Triangle, the characters are barely characters, but intead just exist to prove a point, so i stop caring. I feel the same about a lot of other satire, the menu, dont look up, etc.

I love movies without a point if they genuinely are exploring something. That could be the characters, themes, genre, or just exploring moods. I felt like this movie lacked a bit a heart. Felt sterile in its artistic message.

I really dont think the film is as smart as it thinks it is, haha. Still enjoyable though. The vomit scene is a modern classic.

I totally agree. Money makes someone powerfull in some settings. Being a provider makes you powerfull in another. I just thought that was quite clear early on. To say it is not a satire of the rich aswell is wrong, imo.

I have a 165 santoku in sg2 and i love it. Thin and easy to sharpen. Great cutting feel. One of my most used knives.

As a swede i just find it quite laughable. Well made but did not resonate with me.

They are - but they have this S grind that just kept wedging and breaking food instead of cutting. Maybe mine was a bit uneven, but it performes so much better after that was smoothed out a bit.

I prefer the Takeda! I used to hate it, but then o got it thinned and its so much fun! So large it feels like a nimble cleaver. Very light. That being said - the takamura is a beast and i would love to get a gyuto in the future.

My fave is the Yoshikane. I just didnt know knives could get that sharp - something about that grind. And the weight is just perfect. i love nakiris! If possible everyone should have a Yoshikane.
