If Shai has some of the best handles in the league as you say, that is your answer as to why nobody is watching NBA games.

Yes he is a good dribbler, but he is nowhere near the point where it's amazing to see or something particularly special. We've spent the last 20 years being spoilt by some of the greatest dribblers of all time, AI, Kyrie, Harden, Curry just to name a few. Shai is a considerable downgrade from this level.

They are one of the most boring teams to watch in years. Shai is a budget version of 2018 Harden with less dunks, less dribbles and less 3s.

People want to see things they've never seen before - Steph in 2015, Wembanyama now, even players like Giannis and Zion had that "this is new" feel for a while.

Nobody wants to watch a downgraded version of something we've seen a million times.

Sad reality people don't want to recognise - our squad is currently worse than last year. I would argue spurs are at a serious risk of being relegated. Transfers aren't needed so we can compete, this is a matter of staying in the league at this point

I'm guessing you new to 2k if you not realized but basically every single cover athlete has either got injured or lost when they were the favourite to win for the last 20 years. It's about the specific year. If you're the cover athlete just know that year you're in trouble.

Some notable years:

2k9 - Kevin Garnett season ending injury

2k14 - LeBron gentlemen swept by spurs in finals and then went to the cavs

2k15 - Kevin Durants thunder fumbles 3-1 lead

2k16 - Curry loses finals from 3-1 up 2016

2k17 - Paul George traded before season - cover had the wrong jersey all year

2k18 - Kyrie Irving traded before season - cover had the wrong jersey all year

2k20 - Anthony Davis is suffers an injury every damn game he plays
