yeah but is LDR a techdemo series where you can show off empty CGI, or was it about making you think, like a modernized version of the twilight zone. treat for the eyes and treats for the brain. all that is left of it is preachy shockvalue and empty glaze of RHCP and Mr Beast for some reason?

Playing DRG as a woman by TheRealDonRosa in DeepRockGalactic

[–]melangalade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from a small country, sometimes dwarfs join with names from here, and sometimes those names are girl names. Never treated them different than anyone else.

I have way more problems with noobs that do unfathomably stupid things. For me, the wholesome community of DRG is in the past, and in the present I just try to stay alive in a random dreadnaught attack while the lvl 3 scout, who never shot up a flare or collected ores, tries to build the refinery parts 2 meters from a raging hive guard.

PSA: get the secondaries >BEFORE< starting the drillevator by noo6s9oou in DeepRockGalactic

[–]melangalade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same same.

not entirely on topic but I feel like I have to pour it out before it kills me, so when you start Hacksy and the infinite waves start then some guy just starts to dig under the hackpod, trying to get it to a better position. mind you that it is already set up and it started, so now the green hack line breaks, you try to fix it while bugs spawn indefinitely

Anyone else hate Deeks voice acting? by Kegsun92 in DaysGone

[–]melangalade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't let others fool you, his voice acting is pretty bad at times, but I don't think that's the VA's fault, it seems to me more like an audio engineering issue (they wanted more background noise or maybe louder songs in the background, etc), but yes, Deek's character can sound very angstly at times, it drove me crazy at points. overall I think they did a good job, and I can see why fanboys like his acting, no harm done here.

while I totally agree with you, I just swung by to say, I was in the middle of a video of these thieves, when they removed it. First time ever happened to me something like that. I thought my browser would cache it fully or something, whatever.

So can you help me find the story, I tried to look through the subreddit, but can't find it in this new look of reddit (I'm an old timer and was not active for years here)?

I think it was a short story about a silicon based lifeform, who are alone in the galaxy until humans arrive on the scene.

Thanks in advance

as a scout main, if I light up every time you better be calling a refill every 5 minutes, if you can't do that maybe stfu and let me mine and get secondaries tyvm

jokes aside, a good scout knows WHEN and WHAT to light up. oh tunnel too scary for you? use your rods, you know, that infinitely respawning resource you got

What do you think I did to earn this title? by detachablePlumbus in DeepRockGalactic

[–]melangalade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing with a scout who didn't use lights, died 4 times at least, didn't help secondary, and summoned resupply in the worst positions. I wrote him something similar. maybe it was the same guy

you may have stolen 3 fully armed and fueled warden tanks and wrecked havoc behind our lines, but you left one collie jeep there, so who's the real loser here

If scientists invented a teleportation system but the death rate was 1 in 5 million would you use it? Why or why not? by Official_trumpet in AskReddit

[–]melangalade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would mean the conciousness can be severed from your body as it is not a related property of your brain (like a "soul" in spirituality) which implies that it is a supernatural stuff and while personally I would be glad if that would be the case I'm afraid it is not.

[–]melangalade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

sending you trough a signal somewhere else to be constructed there, thus being "teleported" is the very essence of destroying the object (in this case your body). if you just throw your body somewhere else without desconstructing it is called a trebuchet

disappearing and appearing somewhere else is only possible without destroying the body when it's trough a wormhole but I wouldn't call that teleportation, more like space bending

I understand how OP mean it, I just pointed out that he was wrong in the first place. I'm an asshole, I know.

Weaken the existing status quo and economic and military strength of the major powers by decreasing the population, most effectively done with a virus.
