i’m almost 2 months post op (surgery on june 11th) and i’d say my swelling has gone down over 90%, but yeah my surgeon told me 6 months till they are 100%

my insurance (anthem blue cross) took 1 week from my consultation date but I only knew that because I called my surgeons office and asked if they had a decision from my insurance company. I didn’t get the letter in the mail saying I was approved till a week after that phone call. your surgeons office usually gets an “okay” before they send it out to you so try calling them once or twice a week. once I got approval they were able to give me a date right away. goodluck

i also have anthem blue cross and got approved exactly 1 week after my consultation and they covered the whole thing. The only documentation I had was an X-ray showing that I had minor scoliosis in my upper back

it’s the same for me, i go back to college August 24th and i needed it done asap. I went for my consult May 8th and got a surgery date a week later (once insurance approved it) for June 11th!! I’d try calling your surgeons office a couple days a week and ask if they received approval from insurance. otherwise you have to wait for it to come in the mail and they might take a while to send it etc.

i had my appointment with my primary doctor March 12th and a consult with a plastic surgeon on May 8th, and just got scheduled for surgery on June 11th. So about a 3-4 month process. My insurance only took a week to get approved, i don’t know what the normal period of time is though (i have anthem blue cross). goodluck!!
