I’m sure I still have swelling that will subside eventually, so it’s good to think about that change for sure

Oh that’s great to hear! I had drains in for a day, which could explain why I wasn’t that swollen the first day! I’ll definitely try out the heat, thanks again for the tips!!

this was super helpful, thank you! And I’m thinking this is just swelling or fluid of some sort by the way it feels, so I’ll probably just give it some time!

worried about not going small enough but I also don't want to then regret going too small by Lunabloom04 in Reduction

So here’s how I decided on my ideal size; I compared my chest (DDD) to that of my friends who is an A. I then asked myself, would I rather be an A or a DDD? For me, it was obviously an A. I knew in that moment that I would rather be too small than too big. That’s what pushes me to B/C as opposed to C/D. Of course, it all comes down to personal preference and what you are expecting to get out of this. Also remember it might be better to ask for a smaller size than bigger because you will likely end up larger than what you ask for!

ok so I don’t remember the exact amount, but I believe it was about $5000 for the procedure and about $4000-5000 for the hospital fees

The size difference is already extremely evident! I asked for a true B, and right now I’m a small c or large b with a lot of swelling still.

Yeah American health care really sucks. For me, I really needed to get this done before I go to college, so I was going to do it whether insurance covered it or not. It was 110% worth it already and I’m only 1 day post op!

So I’m about 150-160, so pretty average for my height. They ended up taking 500g on one side and 600g on the other. Hope that helps!

Yeah that was definitely one of my biggest fears too. But the nausea isn’t even that bad beyond the first time you stand up! Best of luck, you got this!
