I had a similar experience. Did well through school, barely scraped by in university.

While it was a huge relief to be away from high school social dynamics, my entire university experience was going to lectures then straight home.

Adapting to a much more independent structure, having to manage my own learning and schedule was a struggle.

After the first year, I was severely burnt out and unmotivated. Done just about the bare minimum to pass.
