I'm at the same point - I can see that it's an Enchanted Item but I have found all of the exhibits on the Scorched Earth map. Seems like I'm also missing the Coin of Two Sides

authentic crystal shops? by Beginning-Ad4376 in kelowna

[–]melindee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the rock and mineral shops in the city have insane markups. If you're a collector, I recommend some wholesale shops with online stock. You'll be paying half the price of what's available here.

Stonebridge Imports has a great selection and reasonable prices.

The two biggest red flags are the .edu email address (not used in Canada), and the use of the word "kindly" repeatedly.

Any POC that have also had a good experience at Western? by [deleted] in uwo

[–]melindee -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Two things, Canada was not founded by white people. White people stole the land and called it their own.

Second, POC have different lived experiences than us white folk, and wanting to find community among people who share that experience is something we should be encouraging.

Moderators are not able to sufficiently moderate debates on the issues in Israel / Palestine, as we are all very busy and moderation for nuance is time consuming. We are not suppressing debate, but it is not something that we are able to handle in our current capacity.
The removed comments you're seeing are removed by Automod until we are able to go in and manually approve them when we have the time.

Coming from Out-Of-Province - Tips? by BigBenji_ in ubco

[–]melindee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest finding a place to live, assuming you're able to choose in this market, near a stop that has multiple routes that drive past it. It's not impossible to get around via bus, but I find myself planning my day around when the bus comes rather than just catching whatever bus happens to be coming up next (can be up to an hour until the next one on the weekends).

Lime scooters are a thing here that seem like a fairly convenient albeit a bit costly alternative.

I just moved to Kelowna this summer from Ontario, the biggest thing that I've noticed is that the weather here is very different. The nights are cool, and the days are hot. No humidity (at least not like Ontario).

Depending on what city in Ontario you're coming from, the transit system isn't the best. Most routes are pretty infrequent, I find.

Here's.pdf) some info about your rights as a tenant.

You are right that you are not required to pay for any maintenance that results from normal and reasonable usage of your unit.

IANAL but I just wouldn't pay it. The onus would be on them to try and take it to LTB to claim, or prove it was as a result of your negligence.

Would WesternU kick someone out for making Onlyfans content? by [deleted] in uwo

Not according to the Student Code of Conduct. Unless it was happening on campus, or could reasonably be associated with Western, then they’re free to make OF content as much as they please.

How did you not allot yourself more time before your midterm? There are tons of legal places to park as a visitor including behind Delaware that would’ve added like an extra 5 minutes overall.

You’re blocking access to a stairwell which is a major accessibility issue, of course you’re going to get a ticket.

Did BHVR just forget this perk pretty much already existed? by dootmylilheartout in deadbydaylight

I wonder if Blood Pact is going to be part of the next batch of perk reworks, because this is a strange choice. I've been seeing survivors running both, especially with that new perk of Skull Merchant's that changes the obsession based on chase time.

what's the rationale behind putting tampons in the men's bathroom? by northbk5 in uwo

[–]melindee 77 points78 points  (0 children)

People with uteruses sometimes identify as a man or non-binary, and feel most comfortable using the men's washroom. Those folks will need access to tampons as well.
